When he first started coming up he was basically saying he was a guy who came from being poor, living in the hood, and was a hip hop guy. Turned out his dad was a big-time executive, and he lived in a huge suburban house on several acres and was basically able to do anything he wanted. Then he switched to being a nu-metal guy, and when that went away, he switched to being a patriotic redneck, to complete his image overhaul. But all or most of his stories about living in the hood, dealing drugs or things like that were just made up. He was and is just a rich kid whose parents would have stepped in if his music career went nowhere. Kind of like how Trump's lie about making it on his own was proven wrong.

That was basically what he was famous for. I think once the truth about him got out, he had to change his image and that cost him credibility, and basically made him go the route he went.

I know Kid Rock had to cancel a concert here because of low ticket sales. The reason people don't go see him is because he sucks. Also for the record, I've always thought he was a goofball.
