  1. That would only be true if each school’s donor pool had the same collective amount of money, which you obviously know is not the case.
  2. Guess where these colleges endowments come from? Hint: the same source that funds NIL
  3. Yes, of course I don't mean DIRECT use of endowment funds for NIL. But let's not kid ourselves that money can flow through different avenues...
  4. I'm highlighting the university with the biggest endowments who have D-1 wrestling programs: Based on 2022 U.S. News figures: 1. Harvard University $50,877,680,000 2. Stanford University $36,338,794,000 3. Princeton University $35,126,200,000 4. University of Pennsylvania $20,724,351,000 5. University of Michigan—Ann Arbor $17,095,088,000 6. Duke University (NC) $12,692,472,000 7. University of Virginia $9,703,267,510 8. Cornell University (NY) $9,346,229,362 Of these top universities it seems only Michigan is utilizing their vast reserves to buy transfers. The rest of these players need to get in the game!
  5. I think Michigan still has the title...but if all the rumors re: Iowa and the portal this year are true Iowa might take it.
  6. Title threat? He has AA level defense, but is sorely lacking in offense. I would be shocked if he made AA this year.
  7. Levi has the frame to go up to 174 for sure. Facundo supposedly has improved but I still don't think he has enough offense to AA in college.
  8. I heard Alirez is getting $500k from Iowa.
  9. 2 Italian Stallions. One cutting from 230 to 197. One bulking from 174 to 197. One has been out of wrestling for a year. Another is coming off a major knee injury. How do you see Ferrari (Iowa) vs Starocci (PSU) playing out?
  10. Really? LL will be a true freshman. Ayala beat #1 seed Penn Stater Braeden Davis.
  11. * of course these transfers are not yet set in stone, so this is a hypothetical CP has stated Iowa's strategy is to focus on the portal, so 6 transfers is very realistic. 125 Ayala > Lilledahl 133 Cannon (transfer) = Nago 141 Alirez (transfer) > Bartlett 149 Parco (transfer) = SVN (since injured) 157 Teemer (transfer) < Mesenbrink 165 Caliendo (transfer) < Haines 174 Arnold > Facundo 184 Angelo Ferrari > Barr 197 A.J. Ferrari = Starocci HWT Hendrickson (transfer) / Keuter < Kerkvliet
  12. Glad they decided to add windows to the dungeon
  13. Is he getting more than Alirez?
  14. Hearing $500k for 1 year in black and gold https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/portal-help-on-the-way.442899/
  15. Alirez is better than Woods. He beat him in the NCAA finals.
  16. One could say Iowa is currently "Transfer U". Although Michigan is nipping at Iowa's heels for the title...
  17. To be fair, Woods improved in his first year at Iowa
  18. Bob Nichols is opening up his black and gold checkbook today...
  19. First Iowa got Woods. Now they're getting the guy who beat Woods.
  20. Yes, hence why I said they had penciled them in. That's exactly what they did.
  21. https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/official-portal-watch.440344/post-12096148 CatCoach HR All-State Gold Member Thursday at 12:26 PM #901 This would be a great line up. Are Parco & Teemer a package deal? I was hoping to see Caliendo at 157 and Kennedy at 165. Love to see Kennedy get an AA 125 - Drake - 1st 133 - Transfer?? 141 - Alirez - 1st 149 - Parco - Top 4 157 - Teemer - Top 4 165 - Caliendo - top 2 174 - Arnold - 6th 184 - Brands/Ferrari - 4th 197 - Glazier - round 12 HWT - Kueter - 8th
  22. The Iowa board has penciled in some transfers next year but I haven't seen any official word on commitments. Any truth that these 3 will be in the black and gold next year? 141 - Alirez 149 - Parco 157 - Teemer HWT - Hendrickson
