  1. There is still a HUGE separation but OkSt may be the 2nd best team in the country. Looking forward to their duals with Mizzou and Iowa to see
  2. I would love to see them in the Big 12 where they a cultural fit anyway, they never should have been in the PAC
  3. won 8 out of 10 matches but the team wrestled pretty poorly, we saw the return of grumpy John in the post match press conference
  4. it's possible, really looking forward to this match. Would have loved to see Munoz on the Pokes like his old man
  5. you can't be serious
  6. some real solid matches this week
  7. is there anyway to see mat assignments? It isn't working on track
  8. such a shame Covid destroyed the best non nationals college tournament of the year. Instead of having one amazing stacked tournament, now we have two watered down tournaments with Midlands and Soldier Salute.
  9. I wonder if a kid like Bo will take the Cejudo/Pico road and forego college altogether. He can still train with Cael at the NLWC and at the Olympic training center and would have a great shot at making a team very quickly IMO
  10. I think that's a fair question, I am a big fan of Bo and how he carries himself but this kid has been grinding at an elite level since he was a kid and he only just got to High School. It is very hard to stay on this pace from 8 until his 20's when he will be undoubtably trying to make Olympic teams
  11. Would be a great fit at Oklahoma State for his last year as 157 is their only major hole in the lineup
  12. which of those wrestlers is Beric beating? I'll wait for your answer
  13. He didn't pick the Sooners, he settled for the Sooners. He isn't beating out Spratley, Hughes, Carter, Jamison etc. 125-141 is stacked with young talent, he would have been sitting for a few years and went to a place he can compete to start right away. Best of luck to him
  14. Honestly, and I'm no Penn State fan, judging by the eye test I think Zain was more dominant than Gable in college. The weight classes he wrestled in are also much more competitive than heavyweight and I think that should also count for something. Gable lost twice to Cassar who was good but Zain lost twice to Logan Steiber and you can't compare Cassar and Steiber
  15. They won't come out and say it, but I think Plott may redshirt to get a year away from Starocci and let him graduate then go and try and win a title. As much as I like Plott nobody is on Starocci's level in college
  16. Jordan Williams was never going 157 he will be 149 with Sammy Alvarez at 141. 157 is definitely a hole
  17. this is BS, JoJo beat Chandler in a wrestle off, there is nothing preferential about that. Fact is, JoJo was a bad matchup stylistically for him and would probably beat him 8 out of 10 times if they wrestled off.
  18. Carroll likely isn't beating Bastida or Elam as a true freshman but those guys both have potential to be NCAA finalists. It's not a fair question, Carroll isn't supposed to come in and be a title challenger right away. Look at the lower half of the 285 AA projections: Owen Trephan, Dayton Pitzer, Colton McKiernan, Lewis Fernandes, Yaraslav, Tyrell Gordon.......could he be competitive with those guys right out of the gate? I think so. I think he could be a blood round guy and after this year 285 clears out a lot of the top guys
  19. It's easy to sit Feldman for a year when you have a bonafide heavyweight with a ton of experience ahead of him. Doucet may have been 19-12 but that record is misconceiving. He really wasn't competitive with any legit heavies and will likely never sniff an AA. Carroll is an immediate upgrade IMO
  20. Well you're comparing him to two top guys, I'm not saying Carroll is going to come in an take top 4 AA as a true freshman but he will at least give the pokes a live body at heavyweight, something Doucet is not and something they have been severely lacking for a while aside from White
  21. It pains me to say but I think as of right now Mizzou and Iowa State have surpassed Okie State in the Big 12. I hope I am wrong but I think they have some work to do
  22. Talent hasn't been the problem with OSU, it has been developing the talent that is a gigantic problem. Also, I wouldn't call these teams "overloaded with talent" especially when you look at what teams like Michigan, Penn State, Iowa and Iowa State are doing
  23. I don't think there is any way that Christian Carroll doesn't come in and start from Day 1
  24. you can argue it, I guess, but I would take Zain's career over Spencer
  25. what time do the finals start? I thought it was at 4 EST
