  1. In the interest of full disclosure, more than one person has DMed me to share tales of Dan's awfulness and creepiness that I had not experienced personally. So there is that.
  2. I had the opposite. Several years ago my company installed a new bit of software that would transcribe voicemails and send the transcription to your email. It would randomly insert swear words into the transcriptions that were not in the voicemail. We had to turn it off, though I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  3. Pinfall, Pinfall, Pinfall. I can't hear you over the shouts for pinfall.
  4. From 2003 - 2006, Oklahoma State's Jake Rosholt won three NCAA titles. His seeds the three years he won were 10, 2, 4 for a total of 16 and an average of 5.33. Has anyone with multiple titles had a higher average seed than Rosholt? I am willing to count unseeded as the midpoint of the highest seed+1 and the total in the bracket. For example, in a year where seeds only went to 8 and there were 31 wrestlers, an unseeded wrestler would be 20.
  5. I found a bracket on wrestlingstats that used both pin and fall in the same bracket. If it is good enough for Jairus Hammond, it should be good enough for all of us. Pinfall, Pinfall, Pinfall. Attica, Attica, Attica.
  6. Let's start by stating the obvious. NJDan is stubborn, obtuse, fractious, incapable of admitting error, and a bunch of other things. But, so what? While he can be a royal pain in the ass, he is not what I would consider a troll. As a matter of fact, he has some of the attributes that are often prized in discussion forums. He starts topics, he argues with everyone, he doubles down when wrong, but all in all he is pretty harmless. So the question is, should NJDan be banned for being a pain in the ass? I am in the camp that he should not, but reasonable people might disagree. Besides, if we did not have him, who would we feel superior to?
  7. I think I know his new username, but I will refrain from sharing at this point because 1.) I am not certain, 2.) It is not clear to me that he should be banned just because he is a pain in the ass.
  8. yes, in 2016. Ironically only three wrestlers have won a 125 title since the last time PSU won a 125 title, but everyone thinks they cannot figure out that weight. It is just that they are like the field at the weight. No one talks about 141, but until Nick Lee, PSU had never had a champ at 141.
  9. And he averaged 0.26 matches annually over the 91 year history of the tournament
  10. Careful. You may get pulled into the landmark lawsuit Dan v. The World.
  11. I think he was making fun of the original question by reversing the premise to show the absurdity
  12. Eierman's knee injury cost him in his quest for 32. He only got 28 in his 5 years.
  13. That looks like what I think you are describing. There were four championship pigtails, one for each group of 8, that led to four consolation pigtails.
  14. Well, now, that depends. Do you still think your Target gift card is currency?
  15. You can sell it (usually for a stablecoin which you can then convert to dollars).
  16. You must be compressing other peoples' statements with mine. I have no such rhetoric. I have repeatedly stated why crypto can work, and some of the pro-crypto arguments, while in no way endorsing crypto. There is a lot about crypto that I find very interesting, but there is also so much crap. It is a heavy lift to seperate the wheat from the chaffe. But instead of doing the work most people get FOMO fever, which has a bad habit of burning people. I have found your take to be reasonable. You essentially say it may not work for everyone, but it works for me. Then there is the Askren take. He basically espouses the "get long and get loud" philosophy. I view this as a viable, if irresponsible and very cycical, strategy for crypto.
  17. Added your scores for clarity. With ASU missing Teemer, Missouri has to be favored in 6 of 10, so yeah.
