I've been saying that the match minimum should be the requirement to be wrestling in the post-season altogether. You can get your match minimum the easy way by wrestling in less competitive open tournaments, or coaches can add more quality events to their schedule. But wrestlers should wrestle, and this nonsense with guys like Shapiro last year rolling up to NCAAs with 11 matches and getting the number 2 seed, or Jax with 13 matches getting the #1 are both arguably correct while simultaneously being ridiculous. Right now, competing is quite literally optional in the regular season as we have more and more guys not even enrolled during the fall semester. Half of Cornell, Lamer, Jax, Bullock, etc. were all second semester only guys. What's the point of having a regular season if you can sit out for half of it with impunity?

I agree with you 100% that punishing someone for not wrestling punishes others just as much as the guilty party. That's my issue with Ferrari at the 7 this year. The case for Ferrari at the 7 is valid, but by putting him there you're punishing Sinclair.

I understand this point of view and it's just agree to disagree time.  I think we currently make guys earn their way to the postseason.  You think guys need a higher match count to earn their way to the postseason.  I'd much prefer a team schedule requirement and a percentage of the team schedule be met than anything with a raw match count.

Facundo vs Mantanona in the second round of 174 if they both win their first round match could determine All American status for the winter the loser would have a tough road in the wrestle backs to make the podium

I have loser getting Takats, Kelly, then Singleton in the R12. I have the winner facing Pinto in the R12.

They both have tough first round match-ups with Thompson and Desiante as well.

Absolutely I'm not automatically assuming they both reach the second round but if they do as they should it'll be a good match seeing Facundo is very defensive and Mantanona likes to and a homer rooting for all wrestlers that come out of Michigan90s

Can someone who has watched Danny wask this year explain his seeding to me. Has he had a down year? How were his conferences? Is him beating ruiz as doable as I think it is (I think it's doable). Plz discuss

Full of un-bias blasphemy.

Good question.  His seed doesn't make sense to me.  I project him also to beat Ruiz and attain AA honors once again.
