Target states where HS wrestling is strong -- i.e. Texas (0 D1 programs), and California which currently only has 4 D1 programs.

Could also look for another Ivy in Yale. New Englands wrestling is getting bigger and bigger.

After CBU is dropped, then California will be down to 3 and I always think CSUB is in danger due to funding.

I think the people at Cal Baptist would be wise to take that $ they have raised and go across the street to UC Riverside and try to convince them to get a program there. CSU-Northridge could be another possibility as a low level D I who could add.

One member of the CSU-Northridge athletic department (a CBU alum, I should mention) has been quite vocal on X about his unhappiness with the way the CBU athletic department has handled the situation.

I just read my first article on cutting their gymnastics programs. Seems like it was having issues for last two coaches. They tried to fix issues, couldn't get done despite a coaching change and a roster that completely turned over

Pollard was quoted as saying they would have a new program that costs the same or more and have as many roster spots or more. To me a wrestling program would be huge and they essentially have the facilities and equipment in place.

With that said, would dresser and staff support and play nice or would they have issues with sharing resources and support are my questions

I would travel to watch a doubleheader cy-hawk dual. I would assume the first one would set the attendance record for a women's dual.

Do the men’s and women’s teams play nice at Iowa?  (I have no idea). I know not university-related but I did think it was weird that the women have a separate club and are not part of HWC.  Although I guess OK State is doing the same

No current ties to hawkeyes so could not say. I've heard a few complaints from both sides (men v women) on d3 level but also heard a few that are like pb+j. Asking to ask too

it’s about time a non soy steps up to the mic in defense of the sport.
