Tarleton State Wants to Be the Next School to Jump to the FBS Probably a decent reason why not to bring in any other varsity sports like wrestling.

Los Angeles Las Vegas San Diego 3 great locations. Vegas and LA have multiple venues they could host. San Diego has great weather. I know Vegas is hosting the worlds next year, but in such a situation why not try to host them 2 years in a row? Anyone involved in the higher ends of USA wrestling think this is possible?

Who else would come? Utah Valley, Wyoming?

Thanks Idaho for the info. Speaking of Idaho, when can Boise St get the wrestling program back?

Any news? Thought I read they could be starting D 1 programs? What a shot in the arm that would be after Cal Baptist dropping. I still think Cal Baptist should take that money and find another D I in California like Pepperdine who has a former 2x AA as the AD right now.

I'm trying to get a shirt from each conference championship this weekend. I have been looking online for links but I haven't found anything. Does anyone have insight of where I could purchase them? Thank you.

After CBU is dropped, then California will be down to 3 and I always think CSUB is in danger due to funding. I think the people at Cal Baptist would be wise to take that $ they have raised and go across the street to UC Riverside and try to convince them to get a program there. CSU-Northridge could be another possibility as a low level D I who could add.

I think their is around 366 Division I schools and the fact that we only have 79 (soon to be 78 after CBU this season) is depressing and maddening. The sport does have some popularity. I fear as the D I landscape changes that wrestling will continue to drop in numbers at the D I level. It would be nice to get 100-110 programs (I know that's a dream). What schools in your area would be a good recommendation to add?

Besides Tarleton St, are there any other rumors of D I programs being started? I know in the current landscape adding programs at the power 4 conferences is close to impossible, but what about these smaller D I's who are looking for students. Just curious if anyone has heard anything from the coaches association.

Rumor going around here at Tulsa that Smith is going to retire this week. Guess we'll know how true this rumor is in a few days.
