bassett should already be a sophomore in college. he has peaked. he hasn't AA'd yet, so just calm down. You must be pretty new to the sport. Many such examples of top high school starts never doing shit in college. odds are he will be the next sparkle and fade bum. don't let him teching 15 year old 1st year wrestlers fool you.

Man i cant with you anymore...

Bo is 19. Born August 15, 2006. He will be 19 when he graduates high school. If you can find a rule in the NFHS or PIAA rulebook that says he's too old to compete then by all means. If not, and he's compliant with the rules, then do us all a favor and stfu.

Please, I challenge you, show me just one SINGLE example of ANYBODY, going 126-0 in high school competition and being a 4x ironman champ, 4x super 32 champ, 3x (about to be 4x) powerade champ, about to be 3x (McCort was on probation his freshman year) state champ, then "never doing shit in college".

There is no example. Kid will be an Instastud in college.

He will be a 20 year old Freshman. There are many juniors in college who are 20 years old. He is a college kid wrestling high school. I am glad you admit that his family cheated in order to do well in high school wrestling. So brave. His edge is his age and conditioning. Both of those edges are leveled out in college. He is in for a rude awakening.

I'm an idiot. Stiles not in danger, but is Buesgens shoulder even touching the mat? That would negate the danger count, correct? Or if head touching you get swipes?

High bridge is more than just neutral danger, its actually near fall criteria.

If Stiles was in near fall criteria, it would have been takedown for Koy, but he actually kept position by holding onto Buegen's foot.

I absolutely refuse to believe this account is anything but satire.

Levi Haines was born in August of '04.  Almost exactly 2 years older.  Both are seniors.

Bassett struggles when he can't physically dominate someone.  Maybe he corrects some of his deficiencies when he has a different training situation but the same way some saw some issues with an almost similarly hyped prospect in Chance Marstellar, to pretend that he's a can't miss is silly

I apologize that neither wrestled for PSU.

I am not a huge fan of the Bassetts, but Bo has proven himself against top collegians in folkstyle.  Marstellar did not come close to this level in high school.

TNwrestling is pretty new to college wrestling and he is from TN, so he doesn't know what he doesn't know. He is a total rube.

If this is your measurement its important to then note Levi graduated early and enrolled early. We all understand Bo was held back. But you all act as if he's in his married with three kids and a mortgage.

Bassett struggles when he can't physically dominate someone.

Then explain the first three years of hs...still undfeated, 3x state champ, 3x ironman champ, 3x super32 champ, 3x powerade champ....mind you, he teched his way through ironman, then pinned his way through powerade. If you want to discredit this season as a man wrestling boys, fine, he'd still be the best kid to come from PA since Spencer Lee. And he was anything but a bust. @WrestlingRash's EXACT words were ""never doing shit in college"

Maybe he corrects some of his deficiencies when he has a different training situation but the same way some saw some issues with an almost similarly hyped prospect in Chance Marstellar, to pretend that he's a can't miss is silly

Haines didn't graduate and enroll early.  He skipped his senior year of high school to train with David Taylor's club full time.

Maybe he wasn't quite the social media personality as Bassett but Marstellar was all of the prospect and Marstellar wasn't a lightweight early in his high school career where it is much, much easier to have success.  Bassett isn't even the top prospect in his class as Forrest is favored by almost everyone.

Additionally, nobody is saying hes the best recruit in this class. The EXACT quote was, "never doing shit in college".

Thats what you're defending

2 time AA. no more than that. Given your expectations and touting of his greatness, that is basically never doing shit.

If you're so sure about that prediction why wouldn't you take the bet proposed? If he never does anything past aa'ing two times i'll delete my account, if he does any more than that you delete yours....put it in your signature line.

I already accepted the bet. I don't have to put it in my signature line. Bookmark the thread. In 10 years, when Bassett has taken a redshirt, a grey shirt, 5 years of eligibility (its coming soon from NCAA) and 2 Olympic redshirts, you can collect.

So anyway...how about that Ohio St vs NCSU show?  Pretty exciting Friday!  Pretty surprised at Singleton losing.  Still expect good things from him this year.

I also thought Arrington would come out with more fire after a decent showing at the senior national trials.

Kharchla appears to have regained some of his explosiveness he hasn’t shown post injury. If he regains that and improves his gas tank by March, he can give Haines a run for his money at 174.
