We could lower the $1 trillion defense budget for one, raise taxes on the wealthy like other countries do to pay for benefits for citizens

Our government is pushing $40 trillion in debt. It will never be able to effectively run anything when it can’t pay off anything but interest.  You keep thinking it will work though.

You’re the one all over the place. I’m against more government. The gov should help only when it’s a matter of  national security.  Ie bank bailout or making sure we have enough farmers to secure a self sufficient food source.
