He said “both legal and illegal immigration can ruin a country,” and then said “we need to end it.”

That person was from 2 hours away from where the flood was, he did not make it worse.

When he made the post about “assault on marriage,” it was in response to Chip Gaines, who made a post defending the backlash he was receiving for creating a TV show featuring a gay couple.

Mass migration is legal yes. Many areas have huge concentrated populations of immigrants. Michigan has Iranians, Florida has Cubans, Minnesota has Somalis, and Texas has Mexicans. Many do not assimilate and pretty much all cost taxpayers tons of money. What is controversial about that? In Minnesota they had to close a school because they couldn't staff it because the Immigrants were intolerable, unteachable, and miserable. All the native born Americans couldn't get a decent education under these conditions and had to be transferred to other schools farther away once the school failed to a point it could no longer function. Would you like your school turned into an insufferable mess that can't keep a teacher for a semester? They offered huge bonuses to anyone who could make it a year. Most didn't.

It's pure hell but not your problem. I'm sure you feel real compassionate for having created the scenario that lead to this nightmare.

These refugees got Tampon Tim to cover their rent while they go back to the war torn country they had to flee for the winter.  Apparently War torn Somalia is better than a Minnesota winter.  It's so compassionate of you to make Minnesotans pay their rent and welfare while they vacation back home. If you don't think that's idiotic then that's an issue we'll have to disagree one.

The location of an official relative to a crisis is irrelevant. Staging resources doesn't require him being in every area. That's just idiotic. Not providing resources is the failure.

The statement about marriage is a total assumption and your conclusion cannot be drawn off that comment. He clearly called out a failure to take responsibility for ones family. It was clear what he was talking about. Not honoring your oath to your wife you made together with the Lord is an assault on marriage. Marriage is a function of the church, not the government. This is not a radical position. You just don't like it so you hate the messenger.

Amazing how some will treat a textbook as gospel and treat the gospel as fiction.  That something they heard from someone who has never held a productive job in their life releases them from using their brain, common sense, and experience to find the truth.

Exactly.

The “assault on marriage” comment was 100% talking about being gay.

Why is a sizable minority of America concerned about foreign Muslims?

It isn't because of their race.  It is because of facts like this:

image.png.61a17282ccc539ccdedbb423e54aff30.png

https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2013/04/30/the-worlds-muslims-religion-politics-society-beliefs-about-sharia/

This implies that a sizable number of foreign Muslims have a culture that does not align with the US culture.

Good information, I can believe anyone paying attention can't figure that out on their own.

A quick word search tells me Charlie isn't mentioned in the article. Nothing there clarifies his comment. It's not even mentioned.

Yeah you’re right, Charlie just happened to reply to Chip Gaines’s post where Chip was defending himself against backlash for putting a gay couple on a TV show, but that’s not what Charlie was talking about.

There is still no way you can draw the conclusion that he is saying being gay is an assault on marriage. It just isn't in that comment. He may be speaking about gay marriage but he isn't saying what you claim. BTW lots of people feel that way. You embrace immigrants who come from countries that actually kill gays but celebrate the murder of a man who hold a basic Christian view of marriage. There is no continuity to your logic other than you always oppose Christianity.

Go away. You're a day late and a dollar short on that rhetoric. I absolutely have no desire to be on the same team as a radical leftist. I love Jesus, I hate abortion, and I love freedom. I believe in accountability and am unwilling to compromise on those issues.

The left will never change their violent ways, and I'm not talking about mentally illnesses, I know that exists, but the wide spread hate and anger on display shows an America I will reject with all my heart.

From the Symbianese Liberation army to Antifa you're mentally has been cult of death.

I'm not a radical leftist. Not a leftist at all. Then again, I'm not a rightist either.

What I think is that you should be allowed to love Jesus, hate abortion, and love freedom.

It is a free country. Many Americans have given up their lives to both make it a free country and to keep it one.

I also think others should be allowed to love other deities, support abortion, and love freedom.

For the exact same reasons.

We're on the same page. America is the land of freedom - I don't support anyone who tries to take away our freedoms. Nobody can be allowed to do that, no matter who they are.

Proof?   Liberals don’t want to get married anymore. Plain and simple

It’s the same with all the criticism of Charlie, you can say he had strong opinions, but you can’t honestly say he hated or even delivered them with malice.  You certainly can’t show evidence of him be hateful.  Using these arguments as a way to justify his assassination is despicable.

These days:

  • The far right is trying to make the left bend to their will
  • The far left is trying to make the right bend to their will

All along, the concept of freedom is left behind like old luggage.

Still don't get it?

I'm all about freedom. And I'm opposed to either group that is trying to take away another groups freedom.

Agreed. Nothing can justify his assassination. It was terrible, cowardly, and despicable in every way.

What Charlie did was invite discussion. It may not have been perfect discussion. But it put him far ahead of most involved in politics (and most politicians.) Without discussion. Nothing will improve.

Unfortunately, so many feel the need to stymie discussion (some from this country, some from others.)

You don't need to look far for examples. We're here on a discussion board. A place that exists purely for discussion. Yet, when many start a discussion thread - others do their very best to stop the discussion in its tracks.

I don't know any social media site that is any different. So many potential sources of discussion - yet so little discussion can take place. People who aren't interested in the discussion immediately pounce on it to try to end it.

Watch here with a careful eye, and you'll see it.

Which one? That's a broad discussion loaded with deplorable behavior. The one you speak of was 6. She played with dolls. Islam prohibited playing with dolls after puberty. This is a spectacular topic.

The Bible doesn't say anything about age either.
