I had never heard of Charlie Kirk until my wife came in my office the other day and asked if I knew who that was. I looked him up and the first two things I learned is that he had been murdered in a senseless shooting AND that he found some level of murder acceptable so that he could own a gun. I find both of those things abhorrent. 

If you only find one of them abhorrent, so much the worse for you. 

Maybe it’s rough being a black business owner in Chicago.   Murdered during a robbery.   crime is definitely not an issue in Chicago if you aren’t a gang banger or in the dope trade from what I’m told.

Barbershop owner shot, killed inside South Side business, police say

A Chicago barbershop owner was shot and killed inside his business this week in East Chatham, police said.

Relatives of 52-year-old Mitchell Phillips say it happened during an attempted robbery on Tuesday. The father and grandfather is being remembered as police search for those responsible.

Police said the 52-year-old man was shot three times inside of his barbershop Tuesday on 79th and Drexel in East Chatham.
