NewsNation spoke with Adam Swart, the CEO of Crowds on Demand, about his company that provides services “for impactful advocacy campaigns, demonstrations, PR stunts, crowds for hire and corporate events,” according to its website.

“All of our protesters are sincere advocates for the cause at hand. We’ve been in business 13 years, so we have a large roster of people we know and have networks of others we can call upon to be compensated for expressing their sincere points of view,” Swart said.

Swart said compensation for protests is typically in the low hundreds of dollars, depending on the assignment.

RV, you might want to read the article next time rather than go to AI with a manufactured question.    You said it was a lie that people are paid to protest.   This guy says it is not a lie.   Which is it?

They can offer the service. I can too. That means zero. Zero evidence that it happens to any significant extent if at all. Nobody's getting hundreds per day just to show up at a protest.

Zero evidence it happens to any significant extent, if at all for somebody to simply show up.  They can offer whatever they want. Doesn't mean people hire them for that.

Crowds on Demand pays its contractors an average of $25 to $30 per hour for protests, though some events can pay up to $200 or more for multi-hour work, while the total cost to the client can be much higher. These hourly rates vary based on the event's location, duration, and challenges like early mornings or cold weather.
