Yah. Just standing around. Thank you. They aren't doing jack squat.

what do security officers do?   the payback is no crime, injury, death, court time; I guess there no costs for these things in rock world. they have to work one week a month anyway somewhere, No?

43 criminals got arrested yesterday.   Change is in the air boss.

So, on the topic of change is in the air...just for comparitive purposes...in 2024 DC averaged 56 arrests per day.

But I'm curious how many presidential pardons were issued for violent and/or destructive crimes committed in DC yesterday.

I think this is specifically associated with the new boots on the ground.  So I suspect that is in addition to normal arrests.

I’ve no idea if pardons were issued yesterday.  Were they?

How many wrongful prosecutions were there yesterday?

It’s a sad state when we’re chin wiping so much that assaulted law enforcement officers is “wrongful arrests”.

Well, depending on why they are assaulting the police officers I guess.

The lady pedestrians in their vicinity seem to be smiling a lot.

You think that crazy guy yelling fascist was justified and or should not have been arrested ?    The subway bandit.   We need a good good name for him.

Did I say, or imply that?

Improved comprehension skills would allow you to see my response you quoted was geared toward the response that those pardoned after assaulting police officers were “wrongfully arrested”.

Brush up and try to keep up.

wouldn't less arrests mean the presence is deterring??

It could mean that, but I think we both know that's not what he was trying to say, being that all the lead up to this is the crime was being allowed to happen rampantly and nothing was being done about it, and by the fact that he didn't argue that in response, but as usual tried to make a shift.  It could just as easily mean the local law enforcement was in fact doing the job and didn't need the military to be doing law enforcement activities.

I don't know either way, I'm not in DC, and don't really trust the soundbites they're giving us.   Just pointing out that the data doesn't necessarily show "change is in the air, boss".  Just seems like more grandstanding from my perspective.

A hundred murders so far this year, but you’re not going to take a stand.

I saw an interview with an elderly lady. She was so appreciative they were there and said it was absolutely needed.

What kind of stand would you like me to take in DC, from South Florida?

PS, murder rate is a 12% decrease in DC over last year.  So again, the data suggests the DC LEO is in fact taking the stand and doing their job, but you have shown here no respect for them so no surprise.

Need a kleenex??

Does a hundred murders sound like crime is under control to you?  Does the fact that gov’t employees and representatives fear walking and driving in the city sound like crime is under control?  Or do you need a double blind placebo test to figure it out.  There’s like 3% who are against expanding enforcement in D.C. and other big blue cities.  Any idea who they might be?
