mspart Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I lived in HI when Bethany Hamilton was surfing off Kauai and lost her arm to a shark. About a year earlier, some kid was boogey boarding and lost his leg to a shark. The shark had his leg and the kid had enough wherewithall to grab the sharks eye an pull it out. The shark let go. But there was too much damage. He actually lived on the big island. Bethany went and visited with him for some counseling and commiseration. The kid got a free presthetic leg but he didn't like it so he didn't use it. Kind of weird. This girl is amazing to be sure. mspart
