I hate calls that depend on too much subjectivity like the backing out stall call. If you like edge wrestling, then you have to deal with subjective calls that can change a match. In my mind, if both feet go out of the circle a point should be awarded to the offensive wrestler.

The problem is that refs are forced to make a call when someone goes out of bounds. Therefore they hold their calls when someone is playing the edge because they don’t want to do a stall call and then they go out two seconds later and they HAVE to make the call again. So often times no stall call is made even though one guy is clearly playing the edge.

Going out of bounds is a gray area. So if someone is shot out of bounds repeatedly, or does the splits and touching out of bounds not stalling? But just pushing on someone is?? Doesn't add up

Yeah, I hate this idea in Folkstyle. Blocking and pushing IS a form of stalling.

You'd be taking away one of the things that makes College Wrestling SO exciting. There have been a LOT of scores this year when a guy takes a shot, he's trying to pull a guy back in and the guy out of bounds comes back and attacks.

I think people are looking for too many ways to "fix" something that's not broken.

Step out is a fine in MFS(don't even like it there). I think it has less utility in Folkstyle.
