So is Rep Garcia calling for an actual insurrection?  Perish the thought.  That certainly cannot be the case.  They cried about Trump doing that without actual weapons.   The Ds have nothing to offer the American people anymore.   They have imploded under the weight of their own stupidity.

Well, I mean, you left out half of the phrase.  What he actually said was 'weapons to a bar fight'...which is obviously an analogy.  And little tip, an "R" has said something like this.   His name even begins with an R.

An analogy no better or no worse than Rudy's analogy, "trial by combat".   No more or less of a nothing burger as well.

That's the point...the D's on here will blow it off, but lost their collective s@#$ when an R did it.

And I think most sane people know it is an analogy.  The calling Musk a d#$# was not an analogy.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5119208-white-house-emmer-jeffries-apology/

The White House on Friday called for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) to apologize for remarks pledging to push back against the Trump administration’s agenda.

Jeffries at a press briefing stressed “the need to look out for everyday New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are under assault by an extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is trying to cut taxes for billionaire donors and wealthy corporations, and then stick New Yorkers and working-class Americans … with the bill.”

“We are gonna fight it legislatively. We are gonna fight it in the courts. And we’re gonna fight it in the streets,” Jeffries said.

A release from the White House communications office Friday then blasted Jeffries for what it characterized as “a sick call for violence.”

You would think these paragons of non violence would use different wording to get their ideas across.  Oh how they screamed that Palin was inciting violence when she said they were targeting an Arizona D rep for a challenge in the election.   Oh my!!

Agreed.  Much like the R's blowed it off with Rudy, and are in here right now pushing what wasn't said, because it sounds better for them that what actually was said.   It's one in the same, both sides provide the same.

Come on....you are all about calling out hypocrisy on both sides......right??

Including the last part with fighting in the streets is pretty stupid, if you're trying to claim to be 'above the game'.

Absolutely...hypocrisy happens on both sides....I believe I have called that out plenty of times...however for this specific instance, maybe our definitions of over-reactions are different.  I believe the R's will make a big deal about it; however, I don't believe they will hold press conferences screaming that Rep. Garcia is going to bring weapons to congressional meetings (like the D's have in the past)...rather discuss appropriate language use and ask for Rep. Garcia to recant what he said and to make a statement about violence is never the answer.
