Are these numbers annual revenue?

That is annual revenue, additionally they (WI RTC) had $317k of revenue, $203k of expenses and had $430k of total assets in 2023.

You can see a better breakdown on ProPublica for every year they have filed a tax return. You can also see directors, members of the board, etc. I was the treasurer for 2 years so you'll see my name listed on the 2023 information as well.

The RTC is a joke, no athletes listed on their website, no full-time coach since Gross bailed.

I used to give them money until they cut the womans program without any warning, the lack of transparency from inside those offices is insane.

Bono deserves the criticism he gets.

I agree with you. I did it for 2 years as a consultant of sorts and just prepared quarterly financials and that was basically it. I had no insight into anything donor related, and mind you I'm not and never have been a Wisconsin fan in any sport.

I quit doing it after 2023 because it was such a mess. I like Bono as a person from the limited interactions I've had with him, he really is a nice guy. However, it's well past time he leaves Madison.

This was about 2011 and Wisconsin was a top 4 team.  Donnie went from Associate Head coach to assistant head coach.  So it was at most a lateral move.

Maybe he saw what was coming.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.  Don’t want to hijack your thread, but lol if people think that team at the top isn’t paying guys good money

Maybe they should look at one of the three MAC coaches who beat them this year to run program.

Can you expand on this? Are you saying there isn’t much financial support outside of what the university puts into the program?

Looking at it comparatively to some of the "super powers" of Division 1, UW will be hard pressed to find the funding necessary to keep talent or to bring in top-tier transfers.  There is support for the program outside of the university.  However, with the current state of the program, Bucky will find it difficult to keep that support or to bring in new money.  People are generally suffering "Bono burn-out."  He came into Madison with fire, talked about building the program, etc.  His energy is palpable; however, the results have not matched his energy.  I am honestly not sure if a new coach could do any better given the current state of affairs.  For a BIG program, even the team facilities have to be considered subpar.

Sounds like Wisconsin needs to bring in a guy who can actually develop talent since he won't be getting the top-shelf guys.
