Penn hosts Lehigh.   Lehigh is heavy favorite at the last two weights.  Penn probably needs to win at least six of the other matches to win it.  125 and 133 might be the best matches - so tune in early. ESPN+

Penn v. Lehigh

125 Gallagher < Seymour (should be close, Seymour a little higher ranked)

133 Miller > Lopes (Lopes looks tough and this could be close) - Any word on Crookham return?

141 Composto > Bailey

149 Wasilewski > Hines (Hines is mercurial, Wasilewski has been solid)

157 Swisher > Rozynski/Gonzalez

165 Troczynski v. Grungo/Dubler (unranked match, Penn might need this one)

174 Incontrera > Rylan Rogers

184 Hale > Caden Rogers

197 Beard >>  ? (Penn has been bumping up 184lbers)

285 Trephan >> Pardo (undersized true frosh)

This would be Lopes 6th date which would burn his shirt. Looking like Crookham may not be coming back.

This really could go either way... depending how the B&W wrestles tonite.

They won last season's encounter:

Jan. 19, 2024 Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall

No. 17 Lehigh 24, Penn 14

125 – Max Gallagher (Penn) dec. Sheldon Seymour (Lehigh) 4-1, sv

133 – Ryan Crookham (Lehigh) dec. Michael Colaiocco (Penn) 4-2

141 – Malyke Hines (Lehigh) dec. CJ Composto (Penn) 4-1, sv

149 – Owen Reinsel (Lehigh) major dec. Andy Troczynski (Penn) 12-2

157 – Lucas Revano (Penn) dec. Max Brignola (Lehigh) 8-6*

165 – Jake Logan (Lehigh) dec. Kaya Sement (Penn) 10-7

174 – Nick Incontrera (Penn) Fall Connor Herceg (Lehigh) 2:36

184 – Maximus Hale (Penn) dec. Jack Wilt (Lehigh) 4-0

197 – Michael Beard (Lehigh) Fall Martin Cosgrove (Penn) 3:47

285 – Nathan Taylor (Lehigh) tech fall John Stout (Penn) 19-4, 6:48

* - Penn was deducted a team point for unsportsmanlike conduct following the bout at 157

LEHIGH has to win where they're supposed to win , & wrestle above and beyond where they're even or below their Quaker opponent.

Both Beard & Trephan have to win BIGLY, tonite.

Seymour must take it... reversing last season's loss in SV.
