Is it time for Branch to hang up his spurs and ride off into the hills? The guy hasn't had a winning season in 6 years and still keeps the coaching demeanor of a John Smith smugness. His guys just work the edge yet don't really shoot even then. From watching last night's dual, it looks like he has more interest in trying to manipulate a ref and fight with fans, which if I was an AD, I'd be pretty annoyed with having that lack of class running around wearing my school's logo.

Wanted to get others feel as not that long ago, this guy's name was being thrown around as a potential to be the next OSU coach, now it seems he can't coach his way out of his own ego.

I don't know why, in this current state of collegiate wrestling, you would want to take one of the most stable and supported programs and gut the coaching staff.

Do you want less wrestling programs?

Who would Wyoming get to replace him that is going to be a guaranteed average coach (at worst)?

Branch, down the line for every attribute, is at least slightly better than average.  There is no area where he isn't average (at worst).  Getting rid of him puts the program much closer to the chopping block than he currently is.

also - not that anyone asked - but i hate the elitist 'who would want to live there' mantra.

If this mantra dictated the sport, we'd see Columbia, Drexel, Rutgers etc. as the peak programs of the country.  Living in one of the major cities that houses one of those teams has only made me wonder why so many people want to live here.

Wyoming has 3 ranked 190 pounders committed.  Henry and Foard in 2025 and Murphy in 2026.  Current starter, Joey Novak is just a sophomore who hasn't redshirted yet. I wonder what the plan is here.

He has had more than one offer and has chosen to stay. Stanford has offered him I believe twice. Wyoming just moved to 10-6 on the year, beating #20! Also, just want to point out that UW football is home to the NFL MVP! Laramie is not for everyone but a place where you can fulfill your dreams with hard work! Go 🤠

Foard is projected to be at 174, and Henry at HWT, Murphy will probably redshirt his freshman and Joey’s senior year. It was also posted today that MN stud Christian Jelle has UW on top of list! Future is bright. Go 🤠

I will admit, traveling to Laramie for duals in college was not a highlight of the season. One year the power was actually out in most of the athletic building and had to hold a dual in the wrestling room. As an adult, I actually love visiting the Wyoming/Montana areas but less appealing to a teenager, unless you grew up in a similar terrain or climate.

How easy is it to get to Ithaca, NY?
