It's Official: David Taylor retires.

In his interview he thanked a lot of people. He mentioned that going out with a World bronze medal was very satisfying. What a great wrestler. Now he can back to Oklahoma where I'm sure he will be very successful. Best of luck.

Deep down, I think DT has been my favorite wrestler to watch going back to his college days.  Such technique, such variety.  Whenever he lost, just shocked the hell out of me.  Always seemed like the complete package. 
 

In folkstyle he was just superb in neutral, top, and bottom.  Would do things that would make me say ‘wow.’  Were some guys better in some positions - perhaps.  But David just put on a show in each one.  

Amazing.  So glad he climbed the summit over and over again.  Congrats to him and to his support group.  What am amazingly successful career.

When I saw him working the field his Freshmen year at Ironman I knew instantly he was the man.

Well congrats to DT on an absolutely amazing career as a competitor, and now we will get to see his journey as a coach, which should be phenomenal for us fans.

As long as I've been around the sport (about 15 years) I remember DT being the guy everybody wanted to emulate. Went to a few of his camps as a kid and he was all class. Never thought I'd root for OSU but... here I am.
