That video was unrelated to my previous post. I find it funny you approach a video clearly showing armed rioters patrolling the streets with absolute scepticism but treat unverified claims of killed wrestlers with total certainty.

What do you think this video shows? Can you make an informed guess? What do you think would happen if this happened in the US? You didn't answer.

I think in my country that started the revolutionary war. We never had the government killing 20000 to 30000 of its people in the streets. Your video looks like people return fire from snipers on roof tops. Looks like the start of a civil war and a rise from persecution.

yes, we know how badly you want a civil war in Iran.

If you are happy then I am OK.  Have a peaceful life and may your daughters have the freedom they deserve.

you are probably a regime social media spy but it will diminish my bias if you are happy

I agree, but there are many forms of freedom. economic freedom is a huge part of it, and the US' illegal economic warfare against 90 million Iranians is the single biggest problem for Iranians. If America cares for Iranians, it should lift the sanctions, and let Iranian civil society develop and then thing will improve organically.

As for daughters, you are misinformed, women are essentially free to dress as they please (within reason). Condensing freedom down to whether women have to cover their hair or not, is incredibly reductionist, when those same women can't get jobs, or travel to other countries, or access online training schemes, etc, because of the US' economic embargo.

In more positive news, Hassan Yazdani will make his international wrestling debut at 97kg at the Zagreb Open next week.

92kg at the Zagreb Open should be fun with Rahmani, Azimi, and Hidlay all entered. Hopefully we see both Iranians face Hidlay.

We also have Savadkouhi and Shamsipour entered at 86kg, they could face Zahid Valencia, though Savadkouhi is probably past his best and Shamsipour too young to challenge Zahid.

70kg is another fun weight class, we have Sina Khalili and Elahi entered, and they could face Musukaev. Sina is a highly rated prospect but we need to see him climb some levels now if he has any hope of making the team at 74kg for 2028. Elahi was more promising and probably our best 70kg wrestler last year.

Valizadeh at 57kg could face Spencer Lee, Aman, RBY, Ankush, and Knox. Very high level of competition. If he impresses he could be favoured over Ali Momeni given Momeni's poor showing at worlds last year.

Greco will have a comparatively higher level of competition. Iran is mostly sending a team of young prospects for GR.

Sina Khalili wins gold at 70kg with 4 dominant performances (42-3)

That's his first gold medal since 2023. he's 19 years old. probably the best prospect in all of Iranian wrestling right now (along with Rahmani)

Excited to see Rahmani and Hidlay in the same pool tomorrow.

yep 92kg is going to be very fun

though Hidlay is a senior world champ while Azimi and Rahmani are much younger, so Hidlay should beat them both in theory but hope we see an upset. I particularly like Azimi a lot, he beat Aitmukhan to become U20 world champ in 2023, though Rahmani did beat him recently in a shock result

Khalili looked unstoppable. Curious on how good you think Elahi is, if what I've heard is correct that's probably a better win for Henson than Musukaev at this stage in his career at 70kg

Genius resurfaced right after @Undefeated got banned.  Undefeated also loved to find low lives who hated Iranians on the forum and exchange insults with them

You mentioned me, I got the notification, and came back to see you talking nonsense. My account was banned, so I made a new one to reply.

I’m not trying to insult you, even though your behavior honestly comes off as pretty childish. What I really don’t get is how, after I’ve repeatedly criticized the Islamic Republic, talked about its crimes, and made it clear I despise that regime, you somehow decided I must be a supporter of it. Was it because I had "Death to America" in my signature? You don’t even know the context, so why are you judging? I'm not anti-American at all. Most of my collaboration with foreigners-on GitHub-has actually been with Americans. Even on this forum, there are plenty of decent Americans here.

The problem was a handful of trash users who were throwing racist insults at Iranians on a daily basis. That signature was a response to them. Even the admin of this board is racist. Despite seeing repeated racist attacks against Iranians- and even after I reported and quoted some of those comments in this very thread - the admin never banned those people for a single day. But somehow I was the one who got blocked.

Frankly, the U.S. should probably add an IQ test to the citizenship process, so people like you stay in Iran a little longer - finish school, learn something from real life. Because in the U.S. you’re clearly confused after dealing with uneducated clowns like @JimmySpeaks and you seem stuck in that mindset.

I spent three days out in the streets during the protests. South Tehran. One of my neighbors - literally fifty meters away from me - was killed. Even if you want to downplay everything I've done, at the very least I was shouting "death to the dictator" and talking about the Islamic Republic's crimes in every forum I joined. What exactly did you do? Besides picking the name “Irani” for yourself and cracking jokes with laughing stickers here while people in your own country are being beaten and killed in the streets?

before this tournament I thought Elahi was probably Iran's best 70kg, but seems Sina is the guy now

LIVING the dream in the GREATEST COUNTRY on the planet!!!!

Honestly, watching the Islamic Republic fanboys burn was hilarious. They were waiting for Yazdani to win so he could run around the mat with that fake regime flag - and then boom, he loses in the final.
To an American.
13–3.

Before the match, Iranian state TV dedicated the broadcast to one of the regime's terrorists - what they call a "security martyr." The plan was clear: Yazdani beats an American in the final, they spin a meaningless victory to cover up failures everywhere else, and suddenly they're champions. But their whole show fell apart. Yazdani lost - and to the "great enemy". Haha.  The host looked completely deflated after the match.🤣

My take on the ranking series

US sent some of their top wrestlers plus some people they wanted to test. Iran only sent people they wanted to test

1. Khalil is legit.  If he can bulk up, he has a shot at doing well at 74

2. Rahmani did well.  It was a mistake to sen him at 92.  Would have loved to see him wrestle Valencia

3 Azimi‌ً also did well.  It’s a shame Hilday could not wrestle the final.

4. Hassan does not have a chance in 97.  I know it’s next to impossible, but if he did back to 86 he might be able to win his second Olympic gold

5. Iran still dos not have a contender at 57

6. With Massoumi gone, there is strong contender behind Zare

I am not here to exchange insults with you, so I will end it here and ignore your future posts.  So if you respond, I will miss it.

i must say though I find three odd issues with your story

1. how did you get access to the internet in Iran?

2. Your style of immature insults are very similar to the other guy

3. it’s curious, that the other guy, the mouthpiece and defender of Mullah’s has not responded to your anti IRI posts. I had to temporarily unignore him to check.

So, I still think you are the same guy.

I hope the people of Iran overthrow these people so stupid internet exchanges like this stop.

hello my alternate account, it seems we are the same person

perhaps a Severance like situation, is what our paranoid friend is imagining

glad to hear you are safe

Azimi is really good, he only lost because of the stupid lost challenge (and inferior cardio)

Sina might have improved but hard to say with the lower level of competition here

Yazdani has no chance at 97 and honestly should just retire. Ghasempour probably isn't far off.

We have a decent pipeline at 86 with Rahmani and Shamsipour, and at 92 with Azimi and Firouzpour. And Azarpira is very young at 97.

Look, you’re clearly out of the loop on what’s actually happening in Iran. Internet access has been back for a while. They had shut it down completely, but after the US sent ships to the Persian Gulf, it was restored - most likely to calm public anger and keep at least some support in case things escalate.

So yeah, this shows how little you actually know about the situation on the ground. Slapping the label "Irani" on yourself doesn’t magically give you insight into what people inside Iran are dealing with.

Also, it’s interesting how you end your post with "I hope the people of Iran overthrow these people." That basically means you’re wishing for regime change as long as it costs you nothing and puts you at zero risk.

I know this pattern well. Many Iranians abroad talk big online, but when people in Tehran and other cities are out in the streets risking their lives, they stay comfortably silent. Even outside Iran, a lot of them are still scared of the Islamic Republic.

I’ve seen the photos and videos - people lining up in New York, California, and DC to vote in regime-run elections, just to stay on the regime’s good side in case they ever go back to Iran.

So don’t pretend moral clarity while keeping your distance. If you really care about regime change, it takes more than hoping "the people of Iran" will handle it for you while you stay safe.

Yazdani may only be in his early 30s, but he is long in the tooth wrestling wise. A lot of wear and tear and years of wrestling has gone into that body.

I'm disappointed Iran didn't send Yousefi or one of their top competitors at 130 kg. I wanted to so see them against Riza.

As simple as it is. His style worked against multiple olympic medalists.
