I’m with you on that one. But the folks saying this stuff don’t actually know where we stand - their whole point is just to insult us in the worst way possible. I never thought I’d end up using a slogan I’ve always been against, just to push back against a bunch of racists.

On the contrary, I would suggest that Undefeated doesn't waste time in the "Non Wrestling Topics" Forum - the maga punks there are dumb as dog sh**.

57 - Says Hadadi made a mistake during a sequence ( not keeping his head up) and that they were shouting at him to do so but he didn't listen

61 - Says he did well for a 17 year old. He's 18 but ok

65 - Didn't say anything particular

70 - Says he wasn't listening to being told he is behind

74 - Made a mistake and they expected a lot more of him

79 - Says he was left alone in the hotel and gorged himself on the buffet which led to him gassing in the final. He told the coach post gold medal match that he was about to vomit. Upon further interrogation he revealed he had gone overboard in the hotel buffet

86 - Says he broke his hand 2 weeks before the tournament 

92 - Says they expected more of him

97 - Says they expected a lot more of him

125 - Didn't say anything

All in all he said the above and said a lot of their camps were disrupted due to the war. Also he claims there was a change of schedule for the tournament around 2 weeks prior which further disturbed their training camp. 

 

They change coaches quite often for age group teams in Iran. I wonder if he will still be the head coach next year. Depends if they take his mitigating reasons into account.

I cannot imagine that he keeps his job.  Let’s be honest, taking third and a very distant third to first is a major disappointment.

As much as I would like to give our coaches the benefit of the doubt I agree. How come things like visa problems, injuries, etc never impact Russia, US etc but always us? You are the head coach of the national team you are responsible for making sure your guys are prepared and disciplined for worlds. It's literally your job to know when worlds is starting and organising all the logistics. We have no one to blame but ourselves when we lose and under perform. If Russia was included in the rankings we came fourth not even third which is awful. This defeatist mentality plagues us in all aspects of our society not just sport. If you have enough energy to complain and give excuses it means you haven't put enough work in.

In more positive news, our greco guys looked better today. Payam Ahmadi and Seydi look pretty solid imo. It looks like it will be a close team race between us and Azerbaijan. I think they have sent 2 guys to the finals like us but they currently have 1 gold. I'm interested to see how our 87kg performs as he literally won u17s a couple weeks ago at 82kg. I hope it's not another Khalili and Rahmani situation where they grind him down by forcing him to compete.
