Deerfield Academy, one of the top preps in the world reported these demographics in 2022:

  • White: 50.2%
  • International: 11.6%
  • Asian: 10%
  • African American: 8.5%
  • Multiracial: 7.4%
  • Unknown: 7.4%
  • Hispanic: 7.4%
  • Native American: 4.6%
  • Pacific Islander: 0.3%

Well sure there's probably a private school out there somewhere that looks like US demographics.  But we could argue this isn't it.

Its low on White, whatever white means.  We don't know exactly what International is but its clearly way high. Hispanic only 7.4%?  Likewise African American if thats same as Black is way low.  Asian almost double US.  Native likewise very high.  Bottom line it is impossible to argue its statistically the same make up.

My HS would look exactly like the district it was in.  There were no private options, there was no home schooling, there was no option to go to the other HS in the County.  Now one of my son's, ranked by some as a top 10 public in US but looked more like a private, looks more like yours above.  Over represented Asian & prob international. But not represent US in terms of education appititude to get in or going out.  ~1/3rd every year made National Merit, almost everyone accepted & attended college of their choice.  So depends on what diversity one is trying to represent.

So, nothing new?

Don't know if I'm misunderstanding your meaning, but yeah, whats new is that Arnold won't be redshirting.
