Conference Movement for Next Year

Recommended Posts

The Big 12 can definitely cut some fat, absolutely no reason for schools like Cal Baptist, Utah Valley and Air Force to be in the conference.  I also wouldn't hate if Northern Colorado and Wyoming left either.

Would love to see Little Rock added to replace one of those teams as well as bringing in Oregon State who is really on the rise with Pendleton as coach

Air Force, Northern CO & Wyoming have always been a nice combination road trip, a little high altitude experience.

If those 5 teams left, it would most likely be for a reformed Pac12 conference, which would be great IMO. We will take your cast-offs..... Oregon State, LR, Poly, Bake, CBU, UVU, AirForce, UNC, Wyoming....  When the ACC collapses you can have Stanford.

It would be nice for the conferences to make geographical sense for wrestling. WVU in the Big 12, Stanford in the ACC, UALR in the Pac, etc. stick out like sore thumbs.

Regionals would be better, but only football and some of basketball can buy the NCAA, so they get what they want.
