Jimenez — who just won a boys 106 pound state title in AZ and a bronze at Pan Ams — is headed to Lehigh. Lehigh has a club team. Huge pickup for them!

Hopefully varsity before she graduates. New coach Brazel Marquez  is doing an amazing job.

Would be great for Lehigh and women's wrestling you have them elevate to an NCAA team. Iowa is the only traditional wrestling school with a NCCA W team. Be good to have an alternative in the East

There must be something Audrey knows about Lehigh that we don’t. I can’t imagine going to a club team without there being a clear path towards NCAA status and scholarship money, maybe RTCs or a club of Lehighs caliber has NIL money?

But also women’s wrestling is a lot different than men’s and RTCs are perfectly acceptable places to train while studying for athletes with Olympic aspirations. There’s no necessity to wrestling in college, look at Amit Elor.

Maybe the academics?

Could be, I believe they’re a top engineering school!

It certainly is and I was being a bit sarcastic putting forth that someone would choose a college based on the academics.

A top wrestler, from the other side of the country, choosing a historically great wrestling school probably had a lot to do with the wrestling prospects

if she grows into 125 over the four years i'd love to see her take a shot at one of the early season tournaments with JuCo and DIII entrants with the men's varsity like the occassional women's soccer/NCAA kicker crossover.
