Again, I am just a nobody wrestling fan so feel free to let me know where you think I went wrong or if I have the wrong starter or any general feedback

ACC Interactive Brackets

Interactive Brackets: use the interactive brackets using the following letters: D, M, T, F (decision, major, tech, fall).

Seed changes: You can change those seeds on the 125R, 133R, 141R, etc. sheets and it will automatically update the team predictions based off of seeds with no bonus factored in.

Incomplete data: I only have a wrestlers record vs. who I am projecting will be the starters at that same weight. The ACC duals are done so I figured I would get started but I will add in wrester's win-loss records, coaches ranking, RPI, and actual wrestlestat ranking (I have them all listed at #99 right now just to make the formulas work).

Nice work.  Kinda crazy that Lachlan McNeil finished 4th at NCAA’s last year and will be no better than the 4 seed in a 6 team ACC.

Is their seeding just a “coaches meeting” similar to the B10?  3-5 at 141 seems like it could be up in the air.  Crook definitely ahead of McNeil, but are you putting Gioffre ahead of Crook because Crook didn’t wrestle the dual?  And interesting that neither Gioffre or McNeil wrestled in the UNC/UVA dual, so would think McNeil could have an argument over Gioffre if non-ACC matches/national rankings are a consideration.

I use head to head mostly. I would assume that is the primary seeding criteria but I don't know that for sure. There are definitely weights that are up in the air and 141 is one of them. I didn't know where to put Gioffre because neither he or McNeil wrestled in the UVA/UNC dual. Giofree didn't beat the starter but he also went out for the dual and won to his credit while Crook did not wrestle.

A couple other weights that I will be interested to see how they do seeding.

157: I have no idea where you put Bryce Andonian. He is still listed as the starter according to wrestlestat but his only ACC result is a loss to Scott at CKLV.

165: The top three all split with each other so all three have an argument. Fields had the closest loss and then Heller beat Brady head-to-head was my logic but you can argue that in circles.

174: McCoy who I have at #2 beat my #3 Eischens and #4 Faison but lost to #5 Augustine.

184: There were a lot of matchups that didn't happen in the regular season and everybody has at least one loss in conference so that is another where there are definitely arguments for and against moving those guys.

285: The HWTs also had a lot of missed regular season matchups. I don't know what you do with Pitzer who if he returns for the postseason it would be his first conference tournament and he did not have any regular season ACC results due to injury. That being said, that makes him a dangerous #6 seed (or whever he ends up) if he is healthy for the postseason.

Not really many changes. Pitzer is in for Pittsburgh at the #4 seed is probably the most notable.

Holy shit. Just realized Tom “The Big Cat” Erikson is Duke’s Assistant Coach. Big Cat is going to do to the ACC what he did to Randleman.

The lighter colored pixels are Coach Erickson.

Has Duke only won one individual match the ENTIRE ACC dual meet season? Ouch......how do you keep your job with that track record?

Interesting that Pitzer was not submitted for the 3rd Coaches Ranking but is now wrestling @ ACC Tourney.  If healthy, I would expect him to steal a bid.

I've barely followed the ACC this year admittedly but if Owen Trephan only wrestled one ACC match it feels like he shouldn't be the #1 seed over a 3-0 Catka.  IMO you have to give more weight to how they did in the conference this year, should be the top factor for conference tourney seeding.

Those numbers were only against starters I believe

Pitzer wasn't eligible to be ranked since he hadn't wrestled since January 21.

The ACC records only include results against those who are also competing at the postseason in the same weight so Trephen was 4-0 in conference duals but it is interesting that he only hit 1 other starter. Virginia Tech sent out Jim Mullen against him and Trephen won 4-1.

Your correct.  I know the 30 day rule, just didn't look when Pitzer's last match was.

I still expect him to "steal" an AQ's bid.

Well, looks like “not going out for the dual” paid off for Crook

125 gonna 125.   Both lower seeds win with Colton Camacho over Moore in TB and Agin over Montaperto in SV.  Montaperto had teched him 18-0 in the first period in the dual

That’s Agin of Duke. Duke won. Duke won a match. Chalk one up for Duke. Duke tied for first in the team race right now.
