There was a lot of early talk about how 125 will clear out next season with no stand out favorite. Ramos is definitely at the top of the conversation now, premature as it may be, along with Figs, Ayala, No-Doze, Idk who else.

Wonder how Figs feels being at home right now. He has a win over Ramos and won a tournament that included Ramos, Cronin, Ventresca, and a couple R12 finishers.

The only guy who gets to the finals for Iowa is a transfer mostly trained elsewhere, who doesn't wrestle "Iowa style".

That might be a key data point and wake up call.

Okie State might even have more soul searching to do, however.

Only 2 guys made it to Saturday and none in the finals.

Iowa has 6 All-Americans. That's pretty damn good

Indeed. In fact, they garnered the second most All Americans.

It's just that Iowa fans and wrestlers aren't too keen on 2nd place finishes, especially distant seconds.
