Each took a society and brought everyone down to the level of the lowliest.   Over 100 million people were purged (killed).   The promise of collectivism never materialized.   China for instance up until roughly 1993, was as backwards as they come.   Then they changed the system to capitalist/communism.   They allowed for capitalism to have a say in the economy and they have transformed the country.   USSR never really did that.   Neither did the others save for Cambodia.   

What makes anyone think socialized medicine is going to be nirvana?   Experience with gov programs almost 100% say it won't be nirvana, far from it.

Yah u cant have a 50 cal machine gun either. Since 1986 (you can only own old ones). Specific types of offensive, assault-style weapons have been banned for a while, so its really nothing new.
