From 2024-2026 the HS graduating class has had monsters coming into D1 wrestling.  Amazing crop.  We heard about many of them for a while.  Seems like the HS classes of 2027 to 2029 don’t have as many super studs being discussed.  I may be missing it.

Who are they?

Seeing some headlines on Arseni Kikiniou.

Melvin Miller has also been a hot topic.

Others?

Cameron Howard, Spencer Lee, Jace Rooney, Gavin Mangano all from New York are Juniors or younger

How many are out of KD? Seems like he has one monster after another

You mentioned Melvin and Kikiniou, two big names.

Other HS Juniors to watch (Class of 2027) - Jimmy Mastny (from Illinois I believe, committed to Iowa State), and Michael Boyle (from Ohio, committed to Ohio State). They both won U20 US Open, at 92 and 97kg respectively.

2 juniors from Ohio:

Previously mentioned Boyle at 215.  He’s an absolute animal and is committed to wrestling for now.  But is a great DE on a 2 time state championship football team so the NIL offers will be coming in from football.  He’s underrated because his football team going all the way limits his early season tourneys.  I personally think he should be in the ranking for the #1 overall national recruit in high school.

Almost everyone has Grey Burnett at 126 as the top dude from Ohio though.  Ironman champ and 2nd at the u20.  His dad is an uber elite coach who created a national powerhouse program basically from scratch.  Grey was also Marcus Blaze’s training partner who will be joining him at Penn St.

Some more underrated guys:

27 Jimmy Mastny (IL) (Iowa State) is a top 10 guy but not often talked about.

27 Jesse Grajeda (CA) (Ohio state I think) taken some wonky losses but he has excellent leg attacks and scrambling ability.

27 Ronan An (GA) (Northwestern maybe?)

27 Carter Brown (MO)

28 Kam Hazelett (IN)

28 Finnegan O’Brien (NY)

28 Ryder Schulte (AZ)

28 Iziyah Chavez (TX)

29 Michael Bernabe (CA)

29- Leo Murillo (PA)

29- Oliver Pulliam (TX)

Yeah, I was going to say 'I'm not sure if those classes were really that great or if it was just more publicized that you had those guys on the same Bishop McCort team and Bassett got so much publicity,' but... you're right, those three years were just insane.

And we haven't even seen the class of '26 with Ross, Merrill who just beat Ross, Jayden James and one of the highest profile recruits in a long time in Bassett.
