Rivera not doing much. Down on criteria 1-1 with about 2 minutes to go. Both points off shot clocks.
-
I mean, Sujeet doesn't have the same length... he's just closer than Woods was.
-
They add nothing on anything published by the UWW until all finals matches have been wrestled. The totals I just put up include all of the points from the 4 weights that finished yesterday PLUS the points earned to this point by the gold and bronze finalists (20 and 10, respectively, as you said). You're right, then, that any match win tonight adds only 5 more points to the totals I wrote up. A note, though: I just did some napkin math and Lee looks like he's got 7th or 8th. So the US actually have 6 or 8 more points and lead Iran heading into tonight.
-
Rare to see someone who can match Amouzad's length.
-
OK thanks, that sure did look like 4 on the exposure when watching live but I'm not going to act like I remember where his legs/knees were. Taz did not look good and gassed just as badly as UWW. He's vulnerable if he wrestles like that again.
-
Since I was in transit (and then, dealing w/ work related issues, of course).. I didn't get the chance to watch the whole Woods/Amouzad match. I'll have to view it later when I get the chance to do so. On w/the viewing, champs! D3

I believe when they make the finals, they add 20 points already. Same when they make the Bronze match, they add 10 points. So winning them will only add five points each.
-
So Usmanov at 79 KG lost in the repechage semi-finals this morning. He will NOT be wrestling for a medal.
-
They initially didn't add the 2 for the TD. Then I think the exposure was 2 not not 4. Then UWW got a step out. So it was 2 + 2 + 1
-
Team points heading into today's four finals with 10 points added to each bronze medal finalist and 20 points added to each gold medal finalist (no points calculated in for 7th to 10th places for today's finals weights): Iran 90 US 85 Azerbaijan 78 Japan 65

I was very confused how the scoring went down in that Taz match, can someone explain? It was 9-4 Taz after the lost challenge, then UWW got a TD and the didn't change the score. To me it's 9-6. Then UWW got 4 exposure, making it 10-9 UWW. Then Taz came up on top to be 10-10. UWW would have had criteria then. Was the exposure not 4? Was that TD after the challenge not counted for some reason?

What's greater than Bo? Bo cubed(to the third)?
-
I would agree but I know he has brought in both otogoru brothers for months as well as vito at times. He also started traveling to train and working with the training lab guy. They seem to be giving him what he needs. I recall in a recent interview saying "I wish people could see me in practice I am a lot better in practice". I also wonder if he bought into everyone saying he was going to steam roll the field so the moment he hit adversity he was not able to recover.
-
Azarpira, who looked like crap in the 1/8s dominated his Indian opponent fast. So he looks pretty good.
-
Micic would not have been able to "make weight" in Serbia if he was wrestling for USA.
-
Spencer needs to see more diverse European styles guys as powerful as him. but I think there was a governor on him seeing too much physicality after the injuries. I think the predictions that he's a gold lock add detrimental pressure that increases when he sees adversity. He lost to a European champion not the end of the world
-
Amateur hour at UWW they forgot Kurbanovs two points
-
Snyder match goes final at 5 - 0
-
You jinxed it . . . 8 - 4 Taz now
-
The one French guy moved w/ his family to France when he was like 6 or something like that
-
The announcers were saying in Veliev match that he (or his family) is an immigrant, but he grew up in the Belgium wrestling system. I believe that was true for one of the French wrestlers with a "Russian" name
-
Snyder adds a step out; 5 - 0
-
Oh. Wow. Tahz gets a TD out the gate in the 2nd, though. 4-2 early in the 2nd.
-
Don't want to jinx anything but Mat B has a very interesting score at the break as well . . .
