Jouneyman Collegiate Duals pools
Cornell Kevin replied to Cornell Kevin's topic in College Wrestling
About two months ago I posted the pools for the Journeyman Duals on the weekend of December 20th in Nashville. This not to be confused with the National Dual Invite (the big one that Okla St is hosting. Unfortunately there seems to be 3 different things that are subject to change. One of the three everyone still seems to be quite clueless on. 1- I believe there to be a change in two of the three pools from what I had initially posted. I find this amusing because what It is being changed to is what I originally had thought it could and should be prior to seeing otherwise on teams leaked schedules at the time. Because the National Duals invite has two of the teams that are partaking in the Journeyman duals (Illinois and Little Rock) facing off round 1...this and further evidence has me believing that those two teams have now been placed in separate pools at the Journeyman. When you take that and the original criteria of teams in pools all being in different conferences of each other, and not being on one another's schedule during the year, the pools are: Penn St -Stanford- NDSU this was always the same, all 3 teams confirm this on their schedule. None of the 3 were going to be going to National Dual invite Ohio St- Cornell- Little Rock Ohio St is in and Illinois out lowa St-Illinois -Lehigh Illinois is in and Ohio St out. 2- I was told that despite the event expanding from its previous annual 2 pools of 3 teams to 3 pools of 3 teams, it seems that we will end up seeing less, not more wrestling. I was initially told that at the conclusion of Day 1, there would be a day 2 like there had always been, where teams would compete in their new pools (all 2-0 teams in one, all 1-1 teams in one, and 0-2 teams in one). It seems that teams are looking to wrestle less and there may not be a day 2 any longer. At least not one consisting of new pools. This gateway into segment ... 3- Nobody seems to have a clue on exact date. Is it Saturday Dec 20th, Sunday December 21st or both? Penn St- Stanford -NDSU who are all in one pool show Sat Dec 20th on their schedule. For the 6 remaining teams, only Illinois shows 12/20 on their schedule while the other 5 show Sunday 12/21. Reason this is a big deal to me. and will be to other Cornell fans is because Cornell has 5 guys missing the first semester who will be eligible to wrestle on Sunday, but not on Saturday. (Greg Diakomahalis, Brett Ungar, Vince Cornella, Ethan Fernandez, Meyer Shapiro)). Any athlete not enrolled in the fall semester is eligible to wrestle the day following the last day of the semester. In other words the day after the schools last final. For Cornell that last exam just so happens to fall on Sat Dec 20th. - Today

If it's the same rumor I heard then I do not like it one bit and I hope it stays as just a rumor. -

And these idiots wonder why ICE hides their identities -
and it’s a illegal alien who committed a zillion crimes that walked over that boarder that wasn’t closed during the auto pen regime

Life is good. He put the $10000 bounty on an ice agent…. I’ve seen reports that more cartel based gangs are putting bounties on ice as well. For The lefties who support this, Is this because cartels care about immigrants or just their drug money? I know the Viking doubted real threats behind the original news publications. Hope this cartel Chicago gang menace rots in jail.

That is also true. Power hungry people seek it - but democracy is all about keeping them from achieving it. Otherwise, our democracy will turn into something other than a democracy. Something where the power-hungry leaders rule with an iron fist over those with little to no power. Democracy is all about the will of the people, not about the will of the power-hungry. We are the best country in the world... but if we become something other than a democracy, then we won't be. That would be a very sad day.

Day number # of CSUB not kicking out Aj Ferrari

Heavyweight is the perfect weight class for him. Boring 4-1 matches where nothing happens for 6:57 is right up his alley. He could legitimately go for the Hodge this year at a weak 285 if he actually pressed the gas pedal, but that would require him to not drop to his knees and back up every possible moment in neutral and we all know he can ride harder than a tijuana donkey show but he doesn't turn anyone. I don't see either changing. He is going to be the most jacked dancing bear of all time. -

If only Whoopi's father had taken a break. -
You're expecting perfection from politicians? Are you expecting perfection from your wife, kids, friends? That is a fool's errand. None of us are perfect. Best we can do is to seek out those that are the least imperfect before giving them power and authority. Eyepatch guy is up there with some of the least imperfect as far as I have seen (no pun intended.)

I use multiple sources. I read, watch, listen to everyone, everywhere, as much as I can. Thinking carefully and as unbiased as possible along the way. Then I form my own opinions. Which are then subject to change as the process continues. Sorry if that isn't as good as some entity that I blindly believe. I leave that type of thing to folks like you.

I also agree with you there. But I don't blame the politicians - I blame the election system. It seems to me that if the voters could REALLY get a good look at who the candidates are, that we'd do a much better job of electing the right people. What we're faced with right now is elections that are all about lies and the big money ads to push those lies. And big money backers who have too much money and not enough smarts to not put their fat fingers on the scale.
