Ghanem wins his quarter and will be a slight favorite in his semi. Sadly, even if Sancho is brought back in, the Armenian-Iranian-Kazakh gauntlet he'd have to run to win a medal will be stronger than any run of wins he's put together before. Sorry to be all doom and gloom, but the Kazakh and Georgian are both 8 seeds about to face 1 seeds with strong credentials in their quarterfinal bouts. A lot would have to go well for Black and Foy, as with Sancho, to see us get into medal contention.

What doesn't make sense? Some schools know they have a good 'pincher' for it. Other schools don't chance it. This runs rampant at every level there are alpha certifications. Some will do it as early as they can, and some make their guys get down to the weight and have ZERO fails along the hydration portion of it (interesting, huh?). It is also why we see stark contrasts between teams like Iowa State and Penn State with their certifications. Hell, the reason for the failures of the gents for Iowa State, I would wager, are due to hydration.

Ragusin isn't down to weight. He weighed 133.1-141.0. Also, they are still held to the 1.5% per week after the initial test.

Excuse me for not accepting your narrative, please provide a quote with context. I haven't heard 1 single accusation leveled against Kirk that wasn't misrepresented to the point of being a lie.
