  1. yeah I can't say i'd be surprised. Certainly not an opinion i'd scoff at.
  2. Bouzakis still doesn't have a style that translates up a weight, and this is 2025 top 3 recruits are typically college ready. It would be interesting from a science fiction point of view but its not happening.
  3. Let me do a rundown sense I generally bash tOSU and make excuses for Iowa.... Mccrone Maj Cruz 0-4 Ayala dec Bouzakis 3-4 Mendez TF Block 3-9 Parco Maj D'Emilio 7-9 Teemer dec Sasso 10-9 Caliendo Maj Gallagher 13-9 Kennedy dec Kharchla 16-9 Arnold dec Rogotzke 19-9 Buchanon Maj Shumate 23-9 Feldman dec Kooter 23-12 (or 20-15 without teemer)
  4. I really doubt it, last time Bouzakis was bumped (against crook from VT i believe) he got absolutely killed, his style just can't take a size disadvantage. Mendez ain't beating parco up a weight.
  5. I literally think Pyles just didn't know what he was watching. It was probably a spar, or maybe Brands actually can beat him if marinelli was doing what he should have done and not played squash.
  6. he was probably watching a light drill...
  7. Yeah, they all know how gross it would if someone ran out of the room bragging about beating him.
  8. if you're on the opponents left side, the right hand grabs the shoe laces, and the left hooks over the top of the shoulder, and you drive forward with both feet (the leg thats in is even driving until it goes back in at the last second) almost trying to face your chest towards the ceiling, once it feel like he's gonna belly out you shift to his left, turning him as the leg goes back in so he doesn't turn in on top of you. it ends up the same way
  9. here it is, skip forward to the 2nd period of the final, Moore does the second part of the series, where they hip down on the far side and your roll thru, the primary version when they don't know it is pushing off both feet and taking the guy towards the leg side.
  10. my guess would be the derek moore "deemo". Thing he teched lang with, I've never seen anyone else hit it, but i know he learned it from Lennie Zalesky. sorry looked for a clip briefly and couldn't find one.
  11. might have to grain of salt that...i know plenty of guys who loved their coaches and would fib about how it was impossible to beat them.
  12. brands was 17 so he likely was at his peak.
  13. Yeah I don't even know....anything for cheap shot at the buckeyes
  14. While we are on the subject here is a match everyone has a strong reaction to one way or another...
  15. Very appropriate that "gas tank" was run off by tOSU....(mostly joking)
  16. no it was after his senior year at the olympic team trials, he was already a world champ. that said despite those matches being great Smith was obviously the better wrestler, Lewis' guts remain legendary.
  17. It was more like a sort of old lewis lost to close to his prime smith.
  18. No problem.
  19. i know thats why i mentioned it
  20. sorry i didn't realize he was the only HWY to get hurt, not be full sized, and that those things had anything to do with the conversation.
  21. No, there was a late match scramble that kharchla retreated out of where I thought turley was gonna take it, which is why i said "for a second". And sense we're pretending to laugh at nothing LOL
  22. if you watched the matched, steveson really did go middle school on him.
  23. not a bad guess but what does that have to do with this year?
  24. its getting really hard to grasp the narrative in this topic...
