Man, I really hope Iowa lands some of these elite recruits in this class. They need to capitalize badly, hopefully Knox has some interest in Iowa; but I always hear that the Ivys have the best shot. I wonder if Iowa lands Angelo if it’ll help them have more leverage with Lockett; but after trials I thought it’s a forsure lock with OKieSt. He had a fix singlet on and had fix in his corner (as well as other OkieST people in his corner). Hopefully Iowa can pull him tough. What is his projected weight, 157/165? I agree that the Cortez brothers are some studs! Both of them beat Bassett and have a serious upside. Plus they go to Cormiers club so it could help a program build a great pipeline to an amazing club. I hope Iowa seriously recruits them and this may help build the pipeline to the rest of studs coming out of Gilroy/Cormiers Club. Also, I was shocked to hear Blaze’s post trials interview with him training at Ohio St. They are already loaded at 133/141 but I guess if Mendez takes no redshirts and give blaze a grey shirt and redshirt it can work it self out? Idk, I don’t even know how they will work it out with Davino and Bouzakis . Also, I think and hope Duke lands at NCST, especially with his relationship with Macchiavello. IBut of course I’m not ruling out PSU because it has seem like they get whoever they want lately. Finally, I feel like Castillo perfectly slots into ASU after Figueroa graduates. I bet he is ASU lock; but idk I may be super wrong. To say the least I’m excited to see where these studs land! Can’t wait to hear more of your opinions and insight about this class @Husker_Du!

I always thought Rune Lawrence was going to go to Lehigh; but I guess we will see where he may land soon! I would hope Angelo comes to Iowa; but we will see where he may land. I would honestly be shocked if he lands elsewhere; but we will see! I also feel like Cerchio will go Princeton or Penn for a lot of Delbarton wrestlers find themselves at those ivy’s. Merrill is a stud, I would bet a lot of people are on him. I’m interested to see how he is as a HWT prospect. Especially since he hasn’t wrestled much recently. @Husker_Du does he have a school list? All I know is Stanford is heavy on him and I would guess Arizona St.

Also, I think Cobe and Rathjen will be the front runners for the 149 spot for the next 3 years. of course we still have Bretli R. And Jesuroga also contending for 149. Then eventually Miguel Estrada will contend for the spot when he jumps on campus (2024 -2025)

I’m intrigued how the Hawkeyes handle the middle weights with Chittum, Ferrari, Cobe, and Kennedy. Maybe it can look like this 2024 - 157 - Chittum, Ferrari (Redshirt) - 165 - Kennedy - 174 - Brands, Arnold (RS, GS, or OlympicShirt if he makes team and medals) 2025 - 157 - Ferrari, Chittum (Redshirt) - 165 - Kennedy - 174 - Arnold 2026 - 157 - Chittum - 165 - Kennedy / Ferrari - 174 - Arnold (or uses his RS if he uses and qualifies for OLYRS) / Kennedy Of course the coaches can be smart and choose how they handle the redshirts and maybe have Ferrari go first then have Chittum the rest of the 4 years. If they use the shirts wisely at worst Ferrari would just have to sit 1 year behind Kennedy, unless Arnold does that route of using a gray shirt or Olympic shirt and using the RS down the line (which I kinda don’t see happening but we’ll see ). Outside of Cody Merrill and Angelo Ferrari, I think we should go all in the next class (2025)! I am excited to see how Anthony Santaniello is as a prospect, we haven’t really seen how he stacks up against the national field; but I think he’s land at Pitt with his brother; but idk, we will see!

Also, I wonder where McHenry and Cruz may land since most of the best schools have their 25 pounder. They are both studs and I’m excited to see which program they impact!

Joey Cruz in the portal! Dang, only if OU did better with their hiring process of finding a HC. So many great wrestlers went into the portal because of OUs negligence and their inability to do a good job in finding a coach. I’m not saying Kish is a bad hire, he’s a great hire; but the whole process was just a crap show.

Yeah I know about Rowley but that’s crazy to hear that Root also flipped his commitment. I wonder what happened? Wisconsin may be in trouble in the long run? to say the least I’m excited to see Estrada in Black and Gold! Hopefully we see him in more National tournaments so we can so how more of a prospect he is. but hey, maybe we are looking to continue that CAIA pipeline?! Wyatt Henson in the portal! I hope he doesn’t loose a year since this will be his 2 time transferring. A great wrestler and addition to wherever he may land! It’d be honestly amazing if he somehow found his way back at Iowa, lol but I’d assume that’s far from reality.

Michigan offered Griffith $300 k? Tbh at is what mineo is saying. If so, that’s crazy that Michigan has all that money to bring in all these transfers

I firmly believe Arnold redshirts. Plus he’s projected at 74 and it’s not definite on whether AJ will even wrestle next year (even though it would help the Hawkeyes greatly if he did wrestle). I’m super interested with 149/157! Especially to see how specific Hawkeyes manage their weight and see which ones choose what weight class is best/healthiest for them. I’m excited to see how good Anthony Ferrari will be! To say the least I’m excited to see how we perform next year!

It’s crazy that he is still uncommitted. Literally one of the best HWT prospects in this class and will legit contend for a NCAA title when the time comes. Willie said Stanford is still in the mix even with landing Carter Neves committing there . I wander who else might be in his list outside of Stanford. My guess is ASU is also on his list.

How true is this? That he won’t be at Okie St next year?
