  1. Yeah, I understand but that has happened at a lot of the top five programs. Look at Penn St., Michigan, and OkieSt. Penn State got Mesenbrink and clearly had Facundo and Barraclough there. Both who showed a loyalty to the program and could easily start at any program. They also brought in Greg K when they had Seth Nevills. In which both Barraclough and Nevills both eventually transferred out. I feel like Beard transferring out was a little different because it is said that Max Dean came to PennSt. Without being recruited. Also, they brought in Aaron N. And Bernie. Some can argues the staff’s loyalty as well. Michigan brought in 5 transfers last year. DeAugustino, Cannon, Gomez, Griffith, and Davidson. They had room guys who could fill those voids. Fidel Mayora could’ve filled 149 and he has been extremely loyal to the Wolverines and they brought in Gomez second semester. They also had a slew of people who could man 125-141 and brought those same transfers. Michigan has had a few people transfer out last year such as Lamer and Kurt Mchenry…You can argue the loyalty of the staff here as well. Same with Okie St (not going to write a big passage about this as well). Everyone is playing the same game. The narrative changes based off of the university lol; but we can’t act like other universities are not doing the same. Of course loyalty is something to be questioned but it seems like a lot of bigger universities will put out the best of the product even if that means they will get transfers.
  2. 8 of them were room guys and not going to start; but to say the least, I’m super excited to see how they excel at their new schools! Especially Cobe, Bretli, and Joel
  3. Bradley Hill to Oklahoma
  4. Non the less, I’m excited to see him compete for Little Rock!
  5. How is he able to transfer without being in the portal? Do the rules alter due to him being released (kicked off) from the team?
  6. Didn’t want to make a whole thread and thought it fit this thread.
  7. So what’s the whole thing with OSU reaching out to Ayala. Heard that rumor and was wondering if there was anything truth to it? @Husker_Du
  8. Remaining top 50 are Blaze, Olivarez, and Zinkin. Any insight on where these guys may land @Husker_Du? Blaze - tOSU, PSU, any else? Olivarez - Probably will not wrestle after high school due to his trajectory in jujitsu. Is this a done deal for him not wrestling college? Zinkin - My guess is OSU or Nebraska
  9. Anything on Chris Cannon? Is he done with wrestling and moving on to other things?
  10. Saw on social media that he was doing a clinic in Colorado, my guess is he ends up at Northern Colorado.
  11. Ronnie Ramirez to OkieSt! Great pickup, I thought he was going to Oregon St. I guess OkiesSt did good at the end!
  12. Any update on these guys? Chris Cannon and Isaiah Powe?
  13. So far Miller Brothers - Iowa Matt Botello - North Carolina Great get by North Carolina! Reaming are: Ronnie Ramirez, Anthony Mutarelli, Nikade Zinkin
  14. I thought Dylan Fishback was moving up to 197.
  15. David Carr is training in Iowa City Right now?
  16. I understand, I assumed he was all in by what he was voicing in interviews when David Taylor was announced as the Head Coach. I understand this process though. Going to be exciting. I thought if Zo was still there than he wouldn’t leave but we will see
  17. I know Dee is really close with Angelo, Voinovich’s, and Gabe Arnold. So this will get interesting to say the least. Let the recruiting battle begin again for Dee
  18. Gotcha. I respect that, I guess this is just a common practice then? I’m curious to see if any other Big universities try to flip his commitment as in Iowa. If I knew there was a possibility to change his mind I would be all in, especially with a recruit of this caliber.
  19. If they try to flip his commitment I just think that’s grimy/sleazy. I may be ignorant or wrong but my assumption is that when a kid commits to a university than the cards are off the table for other colleges to try and recruit him. Of course this is more cultural than rule-based regulations. I know he hasn’t singed his letter of intent since he is still a junior; but I just thought they would respect the kids decisions commitment to another university. Also, makes me think it’s sleazy because the Iowa State wrestling forum moderator is deleting messages that talk of this matter. If this practice is common and not frowned upon then why try to hide it or cover it up? I don’t find it wrong for him to train there or anything of that nature. I think that’s super common for athletes to seek out training elsewhere. Just my thoughts.
  20. The Iowa State wrestling forum is blowing up and saying he is going to flip his commitment… maybe what H82Lose is alluding to. Lol kinda confused of it all but if true it does sound pretty grimy/sleazy lol
  21. Tampering? Especially since it’s been so secretive?
  22. @Husker_Du do you have any updates on these 2 transfers?
  23. Anything on Powe (Chattanooga) and Chris Cannon? Those seem like the biggest fish in the transfer portal so far.
  24. Yup, forgot about them but that’s another university that might take a shot. Lock Haven and Rider seem the most logical? No, ISU won’t touch him with a 10 foot pole. Plus, they got Carrol, Sawyer, and Herrera occupying the 197/HWT weights for the next 4-5 years.
  25. I was honestly thinking the same thing. The only place I see where he lands is Lock Haven, I don’t know who else would take a shot on him.
