Ok, no response to my earlier question. I figured as much as the only stipulations not followed are either in your head or made no sense. Nobody would expect someone from out of state with a likely large scholarship to continue to enroll at a school when he's kicked off the team and likely now has to pay his own way. I think in Seth's case, if I recall correctly, the charges were later mostly dropped or made misdemeanors, but I think the legal process took time and maybe he didn't want to put his wrestling career on hold and couldn't easily afford to pay his own way and maybe didn't want to continue at Iowa given the circumstances. The other kid you refer to was from Iowa and may not have gotten much money at all and may have had little to lose by continuing at Iowa. I also think the kid you referred to only started a handful of matches, never qualified for NCAAS and otherwise had a relatively short-lived career. The situations appear very different. Perhaps, Brands didn't expect the success that Seth would have and was ok having him kicked off the team. Glad it all worked out in the end for Seth though. Hopefully, it will work out for Williams whether he stays or not in IC.
