Every year I can remember it's quarters on the middle 4 mats, consis on the outside 4. They did front in the middle back on the outside last night so I expect the same for session 3.

Blades has a bad wheel (ankle?) that flared up in the regional final too. Simpson is great, but NCC's cheer section is loud and active. I'll give it to them, though the Hawkeye fans are so numerous they make a lot of noise too. The bite incident was so dumb. Clearly no one saw it, there was no reaction from the wrestler, coaches or officials, then well into injury time, all of a sudden it's an issue. The video shows she may have bit herself while lieing there hurt. Not conclusive but with it happening in PA junior high recently and the mouth guard you mentioned, it should never be a dq. Terrible Great tournament otherwise!

I've seen the schedule posted in this thread a few places, but I think it's wrong for the semis. Tickets have that session starting at 10 am Central and the semis have to go before cons semis and place matches so I'd expect them to wrestle right away. Can't wait!

Konner Doucet has been scoring more this season, but the last time he was the starter he had 4 or less in 14 of his 19 wins in 2023-24.

There is an answer here for Sloan that I think coaches need to consider. Take top! If you're not confident you can get away, take top, get your 30 seconds of riding time, then Elam can't take neutral (or would need to score there), if he takes bottom, you ride him out again and win, and if he takes top too and gets the rideout, riding time is tied and you go to the next set of OTs. Taking neutral after you get a rideout is good strategy, especially against a strong rider, but if both wrestlers are good on top, neither should choose down.
