  1. productive morning!
  2. Also saw this on the Rutgers forum today... How many forums have you posted this to?
  3. Sort of took me by surprise for a second. Vinnie was very good in high school; 4-time state placer who was stuck behind Dean Peterson for almost all of his career. Finally won it as a senior when Peterson got surgery and was out for the season. Guess it doesn't pan out for everyone at the D1 level. I hope he finishes his career on a high note at D3!
  4. I don't doubt either on a technical level honestly. It just has to do with size currently. Can Gibson make the cut down? He swears he can via X, but how will he look once he gets there? Smith came into RU very small. He just needs some muscle packed on.
  5. RUTGERS - FINAL(???) UPDATE 125: Smith/Gibson (This will be the black hole weight this year) 133: Shawver 141: Olivieri 149: Clark 157: Harer 165: Barbosa 174: Pinto 184: SCW 197: Cotton 285: Catka Things look brighter than they were a month ago, but I will temper my expectations for now. Good dual team, but I have no clue who I see AAing in this crew come March. Shawver could have the fire to come back after a disappointing 2025. Catka and Pinto just need to put one good tournament together. SCW and Olivieri showed they have some fight in them. This is a team that has just as high of a chance at getting 0 AAs as they do at getting 4-5. We shall see...
  6. How the hell does one even read that forum? Its formatting is dated as hell.
  7. Nick and I were on the same club wrestling team in college. Great guy; great behind the mic for Rutgers. Happy to see him get his flowers from the community.
  8. Bartlett and Hardy if they gained superpowers
  9. Yeah by no means did I ever think of Hayes as an after thought. He was always a tough out when healthy.
  10. Why stop there? Let's get JB and Dake on as volunteer assistants too!
  11. Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma
  12. I notice a lot of us are regularly wasting our days away grumbling about wrestling on here. Has me curious as to what you guys all do for work. I'll start - I work for a non-profit in the daytime and do security work at a bar a few nights a week.
  13. How many schools is he on now? I wonder who is really willing to take the risk, given his track record.
  14. He has a redshirt, so I would not be surprised if that's what he ends up doing. I could see him doing this too. There's something about these RU guys doing what's best for them once they leave New Brunswick. Sammy Alvarez actually managed to not miss weight at Rider after being known almost exclusively for that at RU.
  15. It's really more about how he carries himself. Will constantly pull out the "I'm not a journalist" card when he's proven wrong, but will proudly show off every time a major media outlet quotes him in an article about wrestling. Will egg Iowa on and on but will be up in arms if you point out what he is doing is some weak trolling bait. Claims to be "trying to do right by the kids," but will cry up a storm when a parent tells him not to make posts about her son. Hell, he's even started referring to Dean Peterson as "our last 125lber" because the kid expressed not being happy with how he was sharing his transfer to Iowa and sharing their text messages to anyone who questioned the validity of his statements. To put it bluntly, he is a parasite who feeds off the groundwork of others (whether it be wrestlers, coaches or journalists) in order to appear like a "prominent figure" in this small community because he couldn't do it on the mat.
