  1. The Wright bros are good dudes for sure
  2. Mustari was fun to watch. The Golden era of CO high school wrestling. Tom Clum, Kyle Sands, etc. Best to beat me, probably Seth Wright. Juco champ and DII champ
  3. Nice! Way to go Kevin! That is indeed impressive of Wilson. He DOMINATED our heavyweight, who was very good in his own right. Thanks for putting this list together WKN
  4. I wish I had stats for Emmett Wilson. My school wrestled MSU-Northern a few times the year he won and he was absolutely special to watch. It’s a shame he wasn’t D1. Here’s the WIN article on his hodge https://www.win-magazine.com/win-awards/hodge-trophy/emmett-willson-2004-hodge-trophy-winner/
  5. Was this talked about on FRL? I missed the discussion if so
  6. Similar for me HS: 98, 103, 103, 103 College: 125, wished there was 118
  7. That’s pretty darned funny
  8. My parents were in town for my kids’ Spring Break so we all watched the tournament together. They had never been exposed to AJ before. I explained his backstory, they watched his loss, wrestle back for 3rd, and Quint’s interviews. They loved him, and he honestly converted me somewhat. They don’t watch wrestling and are not goonish (à la Ferrari fam) in the least (Denver suburban folks). I think that’s data suggesting that this version of AJ is unequivocally great for the sport.
  9. Like the varied reactions? I guess those would be nice sometimes
  10. Are you using Tapatalk app? You can’t participate in polls but it works otherwise
  11. Man, you make a lot of sense at 12:40 AM, but I’m giving you a like just for the Elvis quote
  12. If this was their lineup for a complete, non-olympic year worlds, could these results win them the team race, even if none of 86 through Heavy didn’t place? It seems like it could
  13. Exactly. People weren’t clamoring for Zane Richards to retire before or after he made a world team.
  14. Sweet, thanks for the info. I’d never heard his name. Will be looking out for him.
  15. How about Leandro Jordan Araujo, 79kg MFS bronze medalist from Brazil? Kid wrestled great. Anyone have any background info on him?
  16. I thought this was going to be about Japanese Men’s Freestyle. With their Olympic and U20 performances, it looks like they could be top team contenders in both M and W for some time.
  17. I watched the Judo mixed team championship and it was pretty entertaining. This is something that could easily be done in wrestling (politics aside) and also be very entertaining.
  18. I’m from Colorado and went to college in Wyoming, so I’ve seen both ends of the marijuana spectrum, legally speaking. You sir, are fear mongering. Do you want to bring it onto USFS, BLM, or NPS administered lands in Colorado? No. Besides that, the chances of getting in trouble with the Feds here are very minimal. Now Wyoming et al. are a different story. Still, I knew many a wrestler and non-wrestler that imbibed there, even some who were caught, and did not end up in jail, prison, or holding.
  19. I’m as annoyed by by the constant God talk, among his other takes, as the next guy, but I thought it was refreshing to hear him actually talk about his perspective, as flawed as that perspective may seem…
  20. Yeah this is so irritating. Flo’s finals results article does not have the actual match links inserted. They have the semis results hyperlinked in there article…but not the finals…so I figure I’ll go to the brackets. Nope. Every round is linked to a match but the finals…
  21. Good lord, I love a lot of what Flo brings us, but do they really need to spoil the Vito-Crookham outcome like that on the homepage?
  22. That’s what I figured, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some of those good matchups. Thanks.
