I see. So, let's say there is a pin right away in first period......do they start the next match right away on that mat even if it's a new weight class? Or do they wait until all matches in the weight class have concluded? Newbie here ha.

Do the pigtail matches start at noon eastern then? The pigtails use all 8 mats at once? How soon after does the first round start?

Thanks!! This is my first NCAAs. Pretty excited. My son is in kindergarten and started wrestling this year. I wrestled just in elementary through 5th grade.......30 years ago (broke my only bone in my life in 4th grade wrestling practice when my cousin dumped me on my shoulder with a headlock and snapped my collarbone). Up until two months ago I had no idea who John Smith, Tom and Terry, Cary Kolat, Schultz brothers, Snyder, Taylor were. Vaguely new the names Gable, Sanderson, Dake and Burroughs. It's been a lot of fun learning some of the history........finding out about those guys and then it took awhile to find out about more guys.....like Alan Fried.

Next year it will be cool to see a 15 year old Davis against 30 year old Fix at 133. Fix still has like 3 more years eligibility, right?

Oh nice, split screen would be sweet for the semis.
