  1. I was thinking the same thing. So funny, some of the lightweights are barely over 5'0".
  2. 15-20 minute drive to the WF Center (easy back and forth with an Uber or a car) is the Marriott Courtyard in the 'burbs, just a thought, and has a nice bar, both in the hotel and next door at the Springfield Country Club. Nice option away from the city. Courtyard Philadelphia Springfield - Hotel Near PHL Airport
  3. Can someone ask Jackson Turley to shave his hair off for the postseason? What is he thinking??
  4. Very true, I will, knowing the truth.
  5. That's irrelevant to the debate. Do you ever refer to other tournaments as Nationals, or Regionals or NCAAs or the Olympics? Of course no one is referring to said wrestler as the "States" Champ, just like no one calls so and so the Nationals Champ, or Districts Champ, etc.
  6. If you will refer to any of the other tournaments in their shortened name (National Championships to Nationals or NCAAs, or Regional Championships to Regionals or Regions, District Championships to Districts, etc.) but you think "States" is wrong when referring to the State Championships, then you are being very inconsistent in your thought process. Of course you call the wrestler the State Champion, and you can certainly call the tournament the State Tournament or State Championships, that is not the debate here.
  7. No one is disputing any of that.
  8. As long as you realize and admit that the folks that say “State” are being oddly inconsistent and by all accounts, they are wrong.
  9. That's not relevant. It's the nomenclature that is tied to the shortened nickname of the various tournaments. States is short for the State Wrestling Championships just like Nationals or NCAAs is short for the National Wrestling Championships, and Districts, Regionals, etc. They all work the same. How many classifications or any of that nonsense has no bearing. It seems odd that it's almost universally accepted to use Nationals, Worlds, NCAAs, Olympics, etc., but for some reason it doesn't make sense for people in certain states around the country to call their respective State Wrestling Tournament "States".
  10. Agree and very similar builds as well...
  11. He seems to have improved, but that would be a crazy turnaround from last year...I don't see it. I like these projections and a very similar final score. Only change for me would be swapping SVN and Kasak. I think Kasak beats Teemer coming off an injury recently, and SVN comes up just short against Parco.
  12. I do think people are not realizing how stacked this Iowa squad is because of the talk about PSU being potentially the best team of all-time. I also don't think this meet will be as one-sided as most people think. I could see Iowa winning 4 matches, and the overall score not being what Penn State fans are now accustomed to. #GoState
