  1. Matt vs Sticca state final is one of my favorite matches ever. The hype on the forum before the Darrell Vasquez match was great, I think Wrestling Report forum. One Cali person posted that Vasquez would send Ciasulli home in a body bag. Vasquez had rough goes with PA kids in HS. I believe Brian Baglio pinned him at the Pittsburgh Classic. With that - Darrell Vasquez was a great wrestler and it's a shame that injuries or medical conditions wrecked his college career.
  2. Extremely talented wrestlers who make a living wrestling close matches with many ending in OT. That style sometimes costed these guys as some opponents were able to sneak a late score for the win. Cole Mathews Jason Tsirtsis Kellen Russell
  3. Willie converted AOC to Bud Heavy, maybe that's why he went up to 157
  4. Garrett Scott is another example of a wrestler who did not compete or finish his senior year and wrestled on the PA team. He put on a show with a dominant performance.
  5. I have 80" in basement so that may work.
  6. What is the smartest way to watch all 8 mats for NCAA's ? I don't think ESPN has a 4 mat view and I think streams would time out when you open multiple windows. Does anyone have a better way ?
  7. Well - Match is on Flo. Just hope we get to watch the match live
  8. He won 1 PIAA title then moved to KY with his brothers. Fletcher was head coach at Kentucky and Joe was assistant. I believe Jimmy had a tough time being treated as a side show attraction. He cut quite a bit of weight to make world and Olympic teams (he also cut off cast on his leg off himself just before trials, told his mom the doc's cleared him) He also had a few injuries. He also was not a big fan of mat wrestling. Senior level guys were particularly more physical (dirty) when wrestling Jimmy because losing to a HS kid was not a good look. His shoulder was hurt in match at '72 Olympics and a few people told me that his opponent intentionally hurt him. I forgot the details. Carr, Fletcher · Notable Kentucky African Americans Database (uky.edu)
  9. Best ever ? Jimmy Carr came from a family of 16 siblings to become the youngest ever American Olympic wrestler when he competed in the 1972 Olympics as a high school junior, at age 17. Carr had actually competed at the 1971 World Championships when he was only 16. He biggest title came in 1973 when he won the Midlands. I believe Jimmy beat defending NCAA champ in Midland finals.
  10. Lots of great ones already listed. Gable Steveson vs Stephen Neil RBY vs Abas Nate Carr Sr. vs J. Burroughs Jimmy Carr vs Spence Lee Randy Lewis vs Zain R. and Randy vs Yanni Would like to see a dual of PSU 3X champs vs selection of 3X champs, may add to the list for PSU very soon.
  11. Curious what the prognosis is for Lee’s knees. How close to 100% can he get if all goes well with rehab and no further incidents?
  12. Willie might be more like Howard Cosell and JB (Jason Bryant) more like Chris Berman
  13. Verizon users get ESPN+ for free. Find a someone who uses Verizon and see if they will share their login and PW. ESPB+ can be quirky. The OK State vs Wyoming match was hard to find, was listed under the Big 12 icon
