I backed my claim. We came to the conclusion you don't accept since there is no record of encounters of mentally ill people so we can not compare it to the 1 in 5 people killed by police who are disclosed as have a mental illness

How can you prove that when there is no data showing how many mentally ill people are encountered by police? Can I have some cold hard facts not feelings? using your own argument here. You got mad at me for providing actual stories and stats saying mentally ill people are more likely to be shot yet you can not provide data or sources saying that mentally ill people usually don't get shot by police

You can not ever have a conversation in good faith. You twist and turn words and make up your own ideas of what someone is saying. Where did I say cops only deal with mental illness situation when there is a shooting? You asked for stats on police encountering mentally ill people and I stated that there are no laws saying cops have to disclose how many mentally ill people they encounter. There is a law saying that the police have to disclose how many people that they kill with a mental illness.

Can you give me the data where cops encounter thousands of calls involving mental illness every year and don't shoot anyone? I want facts not feelings!

Way to deflect without answering a question. I am not in a position to have influence over policy and laws, however I vote for representatives that have that ability. Democrats introduce bills to help make American's lives easier. How are conservatives trying to help when they vote no on any legislation that helps the US population?

What help do conservatives provide except money and weapons for genocide and war crimes? Do they promote legislation to provide lunch for students who can not afford it? Do they promote legislation to help veterans? Do they promote legislation to help with the border crisis? No they just vote against. when police get involved in mental issues the person suffering from the mental illness usually gets killed by the police. When Teachers bring up mental health parents scream indoctrination. When parents are supposed to talk about it you then have instances such as Crumbleys mom actively helping her son with planning and commiting a school shooting. You see police and other agencies defy gun control laws. What do we do from here?

Was the shooter on medication for a mental illness? I recall there being a system being in place for people specially with mental illnesses but Regan gutted it and gave no other solution. Maybe this has to do with the rise of mental illness within the country. If I am getting what you are saying, the cause for all the shootings is mental illness. So the solutions are either reform on healthcare and funding of facilities capable of helping those who need it, or gun laws. Neither are being addressed so we are again looking around wondering why every other country does not experience this epidemic

So let me get this straight. The Houston pd has come out and stated by interviewing people, going through documents, going through arrest records and so on that the shooter has always identified as a woman. But you asserting that she is trans because she used both male and female aliases. Doesn’t it make sense that a criminal would likely use aliases? You are alluding also that since this person who should have not been able to buy did, that therefore no gun laws work or should be considered. How many mass shootings have to happen before look at any other developed country and wonder why it doesn’t happen anywhere else but the USA
