Has the stock market tanked yet ?  I thought we were going to crash and burn immediately

Trump caved on tariffs. Dollar DID tank though, big time. My silver ETFs have gone through the roof as people flee the dollar.

It's what comes up first on my searches. Good starting point. Like Wikipedia. It's usually correct.

  • Summary
  • Fiscal 2025 tariff revenues rise to record $195 billion
  • Department of Education bears brunt of Trump's spending cuts
  • Outlays on Social Security, health care, interest on debt continue to climb
  • Treasury Department reports monthly surplus of $198 billion in September
WASHINGTON, Oct 16 (Reuters) - The U.S. budget deficit shrank by $41 billion to $1.775 trillion in the 2025 fiscal year as an increase in revenue from President Donald Trump's tariffs and cuts to education spending helped offset higher outlays on healthcare and retirement programs and interest on the debt, the Treasury Department said on Thursday.
The results for the year ended September 30, which include nearly nine months of Trump's second term in the White House, compared to a $1.817 trillion deficit in fiscal 2024. It was the first time the annual deficit had fallen since 2022, when the unwinding of COVID-19 relief programs brought spending down.

41 billion out of 1.775 trillion is peanuts. 2%? Lol. That's also mostly before trump got his grubby hands on economy (he wasnt even sworn in until 1/3 way through fiscal year) and big ugly Bill takes effect. It's skyrocketing in fy26 per all reliable sources.

Going in the right direction boss.   I know your dna cannot acknowledge anything that the bad orange man does that is good

you predicted the tariffs would tank the economy and the stock market so fast it would be worse than the Great Depression didn’t you?

We havent seen any of the impscts from his big ugly bill yet. Ignorant to give him credit for deficit drop in fy25, before his policies really took effect to any significant extent. Look at all the projections for fy26 before you put your foot in mouth.

Yes, dollar has been destroyed. I knew it would happen so glad I got all those silver ETFs.

You’ve been predicting financial pain and suffering since the day before he was sworn in boss.

Here is a quote from you in the opening line of your post in a thread I believe you titled “let the stock market burn”

Hope it collapses 500% more than it has. Elections have consequences. Also, glad countries around the world are kicking us back (HARD!!!) and not allowing this bully to shove them around.

Yes, it doesn't all happen overnight. Overall, economy is heading in very bad direction. Rising unemployment and inflation at the same time is only good if ur a,dumb winger.

Good thing i don't resort to 6th grade name calling when I get frustrated …. And I’m not a winger.   I don’t feel dumb.
