Off the top of my head, Penn State/NLWC has people on the senior national team at 57kg, 61kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 86kg, 92kg and 97kg. 8 of 10 weights, with a chance to make it 9 of 10 if Blaze wins true 3rd at 65kg.

There is also a good chance they have the U20 reps at 61kg, 70kg, 92kg and 125kg. LL is still U20 but focused on Seniors and likely U23s; I don't believe he's registered at 57kg for U20s. If PSU athletes choose to accept them, they have locked in the slots as U23 Worlds reps at 57kg, 61/65kg, 70kg, 74kg, 79kg, 92kg. They have Rocco Welsh going at 86kg at U23s, as well.

So, to answer your question, yeah, PSU has a reason to be training hard this summer.

Lost in the "Cael is killing the sport" theme in the National Duals thread is the fact that a large percentage of the PSU lineup will be competing at U20, U23 or even Senior Worlds this fall, and will need to recover from those events.

Iowa also has a reason to be training this summer.  Most schools are.  What is wrong with lifting and wrestling on most days?  Almost every school is doing this.  That is the reason. PSU doesn't have a monopoly on summer training.

I am still waiting to hear who the false U20 claims were made about.  Chael can fabricate at times, but who was he wrong about? I am actually wondering.

Also, very weird that he thinks several Iowa guys are U20 champs (well, beyond Pan Ams).

Since you have not replied to me twice now, I am pretty sure that the only guy Iowa guy he specifically mentioned as a U20 champ was Gabe Arnold... who is a U20 National Champ.

U20... national champ?

Surely that means he represented the United States at the U20 World Championship, right?

No.  He is literally the U20 national champ.  No one said anything about repping the US.  Beat Rocco Welsh in final.  U20 champ.

Who are the multiple other guys he said were U20 champs? 🤔
