Iowa and Oklahoma State both have a history of underperforming at the NCAA tournament.

OSU has a new coach and a "Whole New Mindset" - but still lost to Iowa. OSU has not done great at The Big Dance for some time. Will any changes show this year?

Iowa is looking tough & the Big 10 tournament is coming up. Maybe they do well there - but will it be another case of NCAA glory being "we had a finalist again"?

Two programs with good coaches - what happens this year?

Yes Iowa did win the match last night, but I still think OState has a chance of finishing 2nd.  I think we all know that if Plott would have won last night against Arnold Ostate wins the match.  So with Arnold back in the lineup for Nationals they are a little weaker than they showed last night. Obviously Ferrari was put in to give them a better shot at winning.

OSU best guys are in extremely tough weights. Iowa's best guys have very good chances to make the finals.

Tom being Tom:

“I mean here’s the thing, I never talk about this stuff,” Brands said after the match. “Why would I start now? Why would I start now? We love Angelo Ferrari, we love Gabe Arnold. We love ‘em both. We’re going to put the guy on the mat that makes the most sense. We’re going to put the guy on the mat that makes the most sense, all things considered.”

We get it. Ferrari is really better than Arnold.

That was before both Iowa and Okie State started "bankrolling" their lineups with mercenaries.  Now we just sit back and find out who gets the best bang for their bucks.

I'm not against athletes getting something for their years of dedication/training.  When I was in school, we called it an education.

I'm just disgusted what NIL has done widening the disparity of programs based on who can buy the best talent.  More money also means better facilities, regional training centers, etc...

I want to warn you ahead of time, when I hit that billion dollar Mega Powerball jack pot, Mizzou is going to suddenly be in the relevant  conversation with the "Royal Rich!"

Iowa is a much better tournament team than they are a dual team. OSUs chance to beat Iowa this year was likely on Sunday.
