I feel like with all recent talk about how hard it is to score a clean takedown in D1 wrestling (Fish vs Chittum), this is a position that I am pretty adamant about. The defensive wrestler is essentially in a position where he has no chance to score, but might be able to keep his hands locked to "prevent control." Show me a time where the defensive wrestler has scored from this position, and I may change my mind. But otherwise, I think this should be a takedown for the wrestler that is covering the hips. It feels like the J.O. vs Steiber match to me, where it seemed clear that Oliver should have had the takedown, but with the rules at the time it wasn't control because the head was in between the legs. I think the reverse lock around the leg should not prevent a takedown from being scored. Agree, disagree, roast my opinion?

That is almost surely a takedown in high school.  Even Ben Askren, a master of scrambling, thinks that the "reverse leg" or whatever you call what green has is a very weak position.  Similar points were called in Arrington's ACC victory over Henson.
