In your defense, I imagine that you posted the comment after the ILLINI football team gave up a 20-something point lead against Purdue yesterday and looked like they would lose

That would be it.

It was OK. It’s pretty rare that any movie or series made 20+ years after the original aired is ever solid.

Cougar Clash from what I can gather is going to be as of now.

Northern Colorado
Missouri
Illinois
Minnesota
Northern Illinois
SIU-Edwardsville
Little Rock

Army West Point was here last year and they wrestle in St. Louis the night before vs. Iowa. So it is possible they will be here as it is a 30 minute drive to SIU-Edwardsville from where they are wrestling.

Little Rock duals Central Michigan the day after the Cougar Clash and since they will have already wrestled Mizzou and SIU-E at the Tiger Style Invite. Plus they dual Mizzou two weeks after the Clas. I think they might bring a backup and true Freshman. But they could bring starters since it is only an 8 hour drive to Mt. Pleasant, MI and Edwardsville and Mt. Pleasant have International Airports within 45 minutes of each other. They might wrestle both.  Eirsman has been known to wrestle anyone, anytime.

‘‘Twas a good tournament last year, but not streamed (it was, but only one of three mats and no scoreboard). Hope ESPN+ handles it better this year.

Thanks for pulling this together. What would you put the O/U on Illini AAs at right now? Maybe 3.5? I'm looking forward to seeing Byrd back on the mat and hopefully his tall queen Ellie matside.

I literally could not figure out whether to give you the fire, brain or laughing emoji for this post. I ended up with the laughing emoji because of this: "I'm looking forward to seeing Byrd back on the mat and hopefully his tall queen Ellie matside." They are a social media sensation!

I have always enjoyed watching Lucas wrestle and have been lucky enough to interview him. He's a character. Based on his media pictures, he's filled out like crazy. He's a tank. In fact, his development is looking like some of the ILLINI past NCAA champions like Adam Tirapelle and Matt Lackey. Yup, that much of a tank.

Okay, more of a "Little King" tank.

As a fan, I think every starter has a chance to AA. Even supposed weak links like Jason Kraisser made it to the Round of 16 two years ago, Ramazan Attasauov won U23s at this weight a few years ago, and Braeden Scoles has the pedigree. So, I have to force myself to stay grounded with Wrestlingknownothing's charts on percentages.

I do think that Kraisser, Attasauov and Scoles will improve on their rankings over the year, so I would be comfortable setting the line at 4.5. I'm gonna say Ruth, Byrd and Webster are near to locks as you can get, if healthy. I think both Braunagels and Luffman get their chances in Round of 12 matches, Attasauov is a huge dark horse, especially since his Media Day photographs show him looking pretty strong after having certified, and the others are "Wait and Sees."
