Well, Emami took 5th.  In my book, 74 is the absolute toughest division.

I am not disappointed in Emami.  Overall he did well, but lost to better wrestlers.

Nokhodi wins bronze, but there is a challenge pending by the Azerbajanis for pulling the singlet

Challenge denited, Nokhodi wins bronze

I think Iran needs 1 win from tomorrow to secure it.

Usa 65 kg still in for bronze. And if hilday and Snyder win their matches I think USA should be first.

From what I am hearing, Iran has clinched the title. Let me be the first to say: Congrats, Iranian friends.

Thank you.  You are a class act.

There was a lot of attacks on the coaches. We won the team title. To be honest, I would still get rid of Dorostkar as head coach. Simply because he is annoying. Im sure he is fine coach, but his antics are very irritating. Feels like he wants to play to the camera.

Get the big man Reza Yazdani in there. At least he adds a bit of intimidation factor. I really hate seeing Dorostkar in the corner. But the attacks on him as a coach are obviously unfair.

I am one of the people who wants him fired.  I don't see any evidence that he and his team do a good job of analyzing their opponents well.  I have never seen him yell good advice to the wresltlers.  I saw a video on Instragram were he yells "push him" and then after Zare gets taked down, he yells "why are you pushing him for no reason?"

I like the idea of Reza Yazani.  I also like the idea of Babak as a coach or at least assistant coacj

Do you guys value team title more or individual golds with no team title.

Not even close.  I will take more individual goals for no team title any day

Mat side advice is basically pointless. I wouldn't judge him on that. The coaching is done during training. I think he is a good coach, but a very irritating personality. Sometimes you want to reach through the screen and strangle him, lol.

Next year will be fun with yazdani in the mix.

Is he still recovering now or he's already in the gym doing light work ?

Iranian trials will be fun with yazdani vs firouzpour at 92 kg or even azarpira at 97 kg.

I think he recovered. Probably see him in some tournaments next year.

Good news . Do you prefer to see him at 92 or 97 ?

I think Hassan can succeed at both weight but 92 seem natural for him at this point. If Hassan can keep the same pace he wrestle at at  86 he can break everyone .

Matt side advice may be pointless, but giving bad advice and then chiding the wrestler for following your advice is ridiculous.

Ghassempour losing 7-0 to Valencia was a disaster.  To me, the coach, David Taylor won that match.  He coached his wrestler to destroy a better wrestler.

They already said he is coming back at 97. Not sure what will happen. I assume he can only get worse as a wrestler from here due to his age and injuries.

Firouzpour and him have never wrestled.

Valencia was a buzzsaw. I was super impressed with him. I think he was just an inconsistent guy who always had great athleticism and ability. It would be hard for any coach to stop a guy in that form. On paper Ghasempour was/is better but i'm not sure any coach would have reversed that. Especially if part of it was weight cut related.
