Did he have anything to do with why Martori stopped funding it in the first place and/or why they changed the name?

Did he have anything to do with why the Helen documentary disappeared after one day?   (I was one of the probably tens of people that saw it and he was featured fairly prominently in it IIRC)

Have any of the women commented on this situation?

Wasn’t Perry at the Olympics?

Have any of the bigger name women besides Blades announced they were going elsewhere?  Seems like a pretty big deal for the best women’s club by far (four of the six Olympians had it listed as one of their clubs, three of which had only Sunkist listed) to go poof.

For whatever reason, I recall the Helen doc being a one day thing right from the start.

I am not sure about Perry at Olympics.

I'm not sure how many of our women were actually training there at the time.

 

At one point, a family member of one of our best was on the board.  All sorts of allegations were made over a period of hours. Really serious stuff.  The thread disappeared as did the member, though that may have been voluntary.  I would not be surprised is the lack of discussion is due lawyers being involved.

I know the Helen doc was only advertised as 1 night only, but it’s 2024, how many movies that made any appearance in theaters never become available to stream even months or years later?

Yes I remember those allegations.  But IIRC, it really boiled down to allegations of a consensual relationship among adults.  Obviously inappropriate and worthy of being fired, but unless there was something else then nothing against the law, and I wouldn’t think that would result in no longer having women in the club at all.

I think the allegations involved how the rest of the women were treated/coached.  Certainly some conflict of interests.  It is very possible it went deeper than just a consensual relationship with one woman.  Some crazy stuff hinted at as the reason for the Iowa exit.

Perry obviously knows wrestling.  He has been very successful at all of his stops.  Why does it appear that he's no longer coaching?  You think that just one consensual relationship would do that?
